Friends Car, Jacked At Chipping Norton And Bashed..

Recommended Posts

I'm sooooo glad your mate got out alive......I imagine if he tried to fight back, he would have ended up much MUCH worse off

Thankgod for that eh.. Glad they didnt hit him anymore in the head.. Otherwise would have caused brain damage!!

In a way lucky his friend didnt go either to some degree.. Atleast he didnt get bashed up..

If he did go, who knows the story could have been different.. THAT IS, maybe he would have fought back etc etc..

So yea in a way hmmm anyways.. ya

id bait him again with someone else's car.

same kind of car, different plates, same price, same specs, same area.

too easy.

i'd put alot of effort into finding someone who tried to jack me. even if insurance paid out.

When selling a car i always ask to meet the buyer outside the local police station. When they don't turn up you know they were trying to fu(k you over.

Another thing is to get someone to photograph their license...if you don't come back with the car you have their details. I do this with all tradespeople who work in our home eg Foxtel installers, carpet layers etc. It makes them think twice about coming back and ripping the place off.

Dude, that is very f**ked. Some people are just f**king cocks.

This kind of shit makes it worthwhile to get raped by the dealer on a trade-in. At least then its a metaphorical violation, rather than a physical one.

Hope he heals quick, and a bunch of us run into these knobs down a dark alley.....

The latter has a lot of ties with the Honda community, so hopefully it'll get the word out pretty quick.

EDIT: JDMST Link fixed.

GET AN LSD!

Oh man that was a f**kin funny read :)

^ hahahah interesting topic.. no idea how lsd poped up in there lol

Idiot was complaining about wheelspin in his turbo Pulsar, and wanted lowering springs (with a stiffened rear end) to fix it. A few pages in to the thread he finally mentions that when it breaks away, one wheel goes nuts and the other one stops turning.

I told him, at that point, his problem isn't weight shift but an open diff. Apparently that wasn't the answer he wanted to hear, so he kept trucking with lowering springs. I then started telling him that if he wants to drop the car, just be honest about it and say he wants to lower it rather than curing his single peeler issues.

this happened to some people we met while walkin past st george hospital early sunday morning (apec long weekend aswell) been drunk and all we stopped and spoke to them, they said they were waiting for there friend to get out of hospital, we go what happened? they said they were driving down Bexly rd when a holden stopped next to them at the lights, pointed the gun at the driver told him not to move, 3 big guys jumped out of the holden and the one holding the gun smashed the drivers face with the bottom of the gun, threatened the others to get out, 2 of the guys jumped in and made away with a brand new 320i BWM with 20" chromies, the other fled with the holden (no plates)

he didnt have insurance either.....

the blokes face looked battered badly !

f*kn scum

Whenever someone comes to look at my car, its at a police station and i photocopy their liscence there too. Just tell the cop at the front desk you are selling yor car and you need to copy the liscence of the buyer and they'll do it.

He's probably referring to this thread, where some cheapskate Pulsar driver managed to push me to the limits of my tolerance.

^ That was funny

Getting jacked was not. Seriously bad that you can't sell your car without worrying about security.

    • Given you're running a 2.8 and my 2.5 is not really like for like, I suspect there could be a bit more timing you could give it. What is the kW yield per degree you're putting through it? Here's my E85 map to give you an idea, where it was I could still get another 3~4kW per degree thrown at it.
    • It turns out that Setrab make a fan specifically for the oil cooler which is great and I've installed it with minimal swearing. I removed my 2x 12in push fans from the front of my aircon condenser and wired them into this. My main thermo fans kick on when I use the aircon anyway and would effectively already be working as puller fans through the condensor which is infront of the rad. The push fans (understandably) didn't really do much in the config they were previously in so now they're out. Now we're on to the "Oil fan doesn't really do much either!". Yes I'll duct it next if it does nothing in heavy use which it shouldn't. But hey, the object exists and fits great and is cool. Let me have this. The car is still in the "do my fittings leak oil now? do my wheels actually rub?" phase. I did a spirited drive on them and didn't hear or feel anything. Then I got back home and noticed there were grind marks on the inside of the rims, though I couldn't see where they were touching I got out the grinder and attacked the suspects. Note: I do not know how to use a grinder. Then I realised I had dragged my new rims across my concrete driveway before I did this drive. I didn't think I had damage at that time when I briefly looked...... but remembered this occurred after I did all the angle grinding. The grinding on the wheels in some very specific spots. It's not around the whole rim for example, which lines up with dragging it across concrete more than hitting a suspension component for even 1 full rotation. So everything is currently painted and taped up and I need to test it some more to see if it really IS rubbing, but from inside the car it doesn't feel like it is. In other news I attempted to do a before and after comparison of the heads/cam upgrade thing. Dynos lie, everything is in different measurements. Here is the data from the sandown back straight. Car go faster than before. Vroom vroom.
    • Here's my base ignition. +3 correction to redline when shooting water/meth which is always on. Looking at my old ignition table, I should be able to add 1-2 degree's next time I'm on the dyno.  Let me know your thoughts.
    • Given what I know now - same haha, but this was 12 years ago with second hand 740cc Nismo injectors in my S15 daily, I was too busy hunting elsewhere for the issue to even look at the injectors, running through some cleaner was a happy coincidence haha
    • Not a terrible idea. But if I ever had concerns that my injectors were sufficiently dirty to be causing me a problem, they would be out of the engine and onto the actual injector cleaner/testing bench.
