yeh, think they are heavy. i know yella terra re-designed them so would be interesting to see the new ones.

i will be putting a set of Harland Sharp rockers this time though.

Any idea what the issue is with the roller arms? too heavy and causing valve float / bounce?

got through a bit of work this week, removed rear boot latch and fitted some bonett pins on the boot lid to make it easier to access the fueltank and eliminate the risk of loosing the key and not being able to open the boot.

Purchased a GT style rear wing, 1500 wide and sits just over 300 off the boot lid. Great fathers day present, thanks girls.

have began lowering the drivers seat which we should finish tonight. Also going to lower the fuel tank to drop the centre of gravity as it was advised this could aid in helping with handling in the rear of the car.

Still waiting for the front bumper. Might give the air ducting/engine cover a crack on the week-end.

Your build is mint and i didnt want to be critical of an awesome build, but i was left wondering why you threw the fuel cell up high in the boot. Throw back in the std jobbie, or GTR as i am told they are plastic and lighter, ...or better yet make up a 30L smaller alloy jobbie that sits under the car but in front of the rear axles...perfection.

I am reading all these build threads whilst stuck in a hotel room and so keen to ge tback to Aus and getting something going

i guess i did it this way as the tanks are cheap and it was easy to modify to run the internal pumps and because ive set up to many fuel systems on drag cars lol. If i run a standard tank i would have to run a surge and i just wanted to keep it simple. My setup only runs a feed, pressure is regulated at the tank.

Ill drop the tank into the wheel well and the sump will hang through. Its minimal work to do this and i wont have to re-plumb anything.

OK, the wing is on......and im not sure about it. maybe it will grow on me but at the moment i think its ricey, when i see it all i can think of is honda civics or mitsubishi lancers. i hope it gives the downforce it looks like it should or its going to get the ol heave ho. Anyway can always sell it to a drifter lol.....which makes me wonder why they have wings anyway.

im still waiting for Vin Diesel to climb out of it....

The wing is glass with a wrap. The uprights are cnc machined alloy and pretty serious though and it has large endplates.

i bought it second hand over the net. Dont know who makes it....could even be a custom job but not sure.

It looks alright Stu, Is it carbon?

also any idea who makes it / sells it?

Started on the air dam today. Used a fibreglass bonnet outer skin, marked it out and slowly got it to sit around the intake.

still have to glass up the sides and fit mounting brackets but you can get the general idea...

ha ha, driven a commodore lately? with the amount of off the shelf parts and interchangeable parts available for a Nissan, let alone the body shape of the R32 which is small, and arguably the best ever made, the combination was good. And im not sure what a Commodore has to do with it, if i had the coin i would have bought a Vet.

The thing is i always wanted the Skyline, the engine popped up by chance. Ive owned one taxi and ill never go back....

After all this man why did you put a v8 into your 32??? shoulda just bought a commodore if u want a v8!

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
