I was going to start a brand new thread...

But I thought I want to keep my account...

So...

I'd like to announce...

After 9 long years, countless phone calls to Telstra...

I... have... broadband. I'm using it right now. Wired broadband. No piss-weak satellite, ISDN, wireless, whatever... just hardcore wired broadband.

I am living proof that Telstra do have a heart. After them telling me it'd cost me $20,000 to get me on broadband... they changed it over in like seconds. No charges.

Holy... Shit...

I'm not used to these broadband speeds. I've been living on 31.2kbps dial-up for years.

I could cry right now. Cry with 1.5mbps tears.

This moment is amazing.

Lol Mathew.

Anything is better for me than 31.2kbps dial-up speeds!!

This is true, we only have dialup at the workshop and I just get angry and switch it off and thats just loading google. lol

i have a 40gb limit with internode and always end up adding 20-30gb more each month.

I know I know, but I always delete my porn afterwards so have to re download lmao

60gb per month here.. All paid for by work.

DSTROY,

I've had little luck adjusting the handbrake. Set both cable tensioners correctly and then tried via the hubs. No luck it was still banging on so to speak. Nothing nothing BANG.

Shoot to down to a workshop that knows these cars and have them set the hand brake up. I had mine done last wheel alignment and now its due another as I've dropped height again and installed roll center adjusters.

Yeah, was gonna take it to a mechanic, I dont really want to get under the car without jack stands. It was working awesome before my last gearbox change over, so hopefully its a quick fix.

haha, thats gold andrew! :/

went out after the dinner to take some snaps. only managed a couple good ones before the battery packed it in for the night though...

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
