i don't know but if i were you i would be upgrading most of the parts people have mentioned! yes you have spoken to professionals the reason being i don't know if there has been anyone else who has done something like this and in that sense what the professionals say could mean shit if they have never done anything like this! i rather have fork out more now and have a piece of mind than having to fork out more later when something f**ks up! their opinions don't mean much if they've never had any experience with supercharging non turbo r34's is what i'm getting at

i hear what your saying Son dont worry.

but these guys know what they are talking about, and they know what the limits are of the drivetrain etc when it comes to it no matter what kind of car it is.......

for example CAPA have a black ss ute that i think has the 800hp blower on it and that is running a fully stock transmission!! and they havent had an issues at all even with 30+ dyno runs.

it comes down to what i want to do. if i decide i am gonna keep her as show and dyno queen (which im happy to do) ill be fine....

lol all caras threads go the same.

cara proposes doing something odd to her car, people begin questioning the whysaying theres a better alternative, cara sticks to her guns wanting to do something to be unique, arguments then take place on what will and wont work, people get called idiots and so it never ends

Anyone taking bets that Terry Wallace won't be coaching the tigers this weekend against the kangas?

SLED, can we (someone) start an AFL 2009 thread?

lol, feel free to start one cause I've got double standards

Can't guarantee Andrew won't stab it to death then lock it away though.

Wallace will coach this weekend and at least to mid season.....my bet is that the assistant coach will take over at the 1/2 way mark this year unless there's a marked improvement from Wallace and either way, he won't be there next year.

Cmon Andrews not that square ;P Matter of fact I reckon Andrew probably has several jailhouse tatts hidden from us murlocs

-D

you know your acting like a real post-31501-1240224481.jpgc ASSHOLE and thats the truth with some cheese on it

well dan i did do a quiz on facebook on what body part i would be, and funnily enough apparantly i am an asshole...........

the 5spd R34 box wont handle the power, the torque will strip off the gears quick smart or brake a shaft. dynos maybe ok, but one drag launch kiss it good bye if you have traction ? if it doesnt break the half shaft will or drive shaft...drag racing kills parts, its a $$$$ option to drag a skyline with audio gear in it

aluminum flywheels kill your low end grunt feel, I had one for 11 years. good for track days, good punch out of corners , lousy for street duty or stoplights on hills..lol add a 3 plate clutch makes it worse,, on or off only?

chro molly is a better choice .

Im not a holden freak but Im semi sure they run a Getrag 6 spd box, same as a supra TT and vette.. much much better box then the 5spd, way stronger

are you running overdriven supercharger, underdriven or stock ?

on a side stupid me trick.... I dumped raw steak blood into my silverware drawer by accident tonight,, DAMN IT gotta wash the whole lot again.. stop laughing so hard..lol

Apparently the Richmond board is meeting tonight.......

Geez.... I was going to ask about starting a Musicians thread too..... Don't think so somehow! :D

F*********************ck

Dropped my rim tonight on the outer edge that shows. Fell over when cleaning it. GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I did that with my GTR rims. I hadn't even put them on my car yet, had to get the rim resprayed again

Does anyone have a rough idea of how much it cost to get gutter rash polished out of a rim with polished lip?

    • Starter motors used to use the weight of metal (magnets) to provide torque. Now they use (more) current instead. This. It's completely normal.
    • So thing that had me stumped, but I think is OK....is that when it was up in the air, in neutral I had it running to bleed to coolant while I put the wheels back on. I noticed the rears were turning (slowly) which I'd never seen before 20250928_163512.mp4     Because there had been an issue with clutch slip due to pedal adjustment on the dyno, I assumed there was still and issue so spent some quality time upside down under the dash adjusting the pedal....but no matter what I did the wheels still turned in neutral. Even disconnected the master cylinder to pedal rod and same. In despair, I even removed the clutch slave so there was no chance of any preload causing it.....still happened. So either: 1. Something is not right in the bellhousing, or 2. Its a thing sometimes with cold, thick gearbox oil Internet says it might be 2, I hope so!
    • OK, few more things sorted and it is ready for a shakedown on 10-Oct, with one weird thing. Changed the run in oil and filter for the good stuff. 8l came out, about 8.5 went in with filter so that looks all good. Changed the starter (again), this time for a brand new one, works good. Interesting that the Taaaarks one is shorter than factory but spins harder, I guess electronics have moved on a little in the last 30 years. Will be nice to have a bit of extra space under there. Put the timing cover back on, and noted where the cam gears were set as a record.  Will need to double check the timing but it is pretty close. Also put the coil pack cover and intake snorkel back on. Exhaust Inlet Changed the water out for coolant, bled up nicely. Removed the rear brake pads (well worn factory sumitomo ones!), gave the hardware a good clean and reassembled. I've put bendix XP on the back again because the price is excellent at $150 a set and they worked well on the V37. Front pads have plenty so no issue there
    • Mine is all -12, I’m running a dry sump in a billet block though
