Apparently i too took my wife a little too literally, that's how i have my current GTR. She already wants me to sell it so i told her i would only if can a have a 34 GTR. She look a little bemused at how i was justifying this to myself as did i when she said no. Now i have to keep making excuses as to why the car is not advetised. :P This is all that much harder as my mate decided he wants to sell his 34 GTR dirt cheap just after i bought my 33. Hmmm tempting isn't it?

so, fieds - care to share how much this mate wants for his R34GTR? :) .... I have always wanted one. They keep popping up on JSpec for under $50k which is just amazing value for such a serious car. There is a Bayside Blue on there atm for just under $50k and it has all sorts of goodies already fitted. Sooooooooooooo tempted. It is such a shame my wife just finished work before having a baby and I am not flush with cash at this moment .... still if your mate wants to move the GTR for the right money I may be swayed. There are soooooo many have been on Carsales for a year plus and can't even get $50k-$60k for them it is not funny.

:) Tastefull mods, bayside blue and under 50. I am keeping under wraps untill he advertises it properly incase i can clinch the deal myself. If i cant sort something out in time then i will post a link. Best bit is its already in the country and has a clean background. Edited by fieds83
should keep it and get rid of the WIFE!!!! Save more $$$ that way too.

Yeah, right.

so true

wifes cost more to maintain and depreciate fast

You reckon it costs a lot to KEEP a wife, see how much it costs to GET RID of one.

A sh1tload more, like half of everything you have.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
