you are a champ :spank:

send me a pm with your details and I'll send you some cash now. cheers.

I think you guys are forgetting that the more pads you put in a package, the higher the freight charge is going to be....

Titanium is pretty heavy remember :P

:spank:

Titanium is actually pretty light. Which is one of the reasons why it is used.

Check the Shadow Can Am car. Number 22 unsurprisingly enough.

I think bass junky was being sarcastic... seeing as how he's an engineeer I'm fairly certain he knows the relative weight of titanium! and actually I didn't think titanium was light as such, just that because of it's strength it can be used in thinner sheets for a given application than you could with alluminium etc. so you get the weight saving because you are using less of it than you would of other materials.

I used to get sarcasm, but since this whole interweb thing happened I can't pick it any more. Much like Ford Prefect. :spank:

Broadly steel density is 7860 kg/m3.

Titanium is about 4400kg/m3.

As for strength well it depends on what type of alloy, but not dissimilar in its range to steel.

Much of its gain/utility is at high temperatures. Aluminium, for example, is complete rubbish at high temps.

Lastly, wtf is it with engineers & Skylines. Am I just conforming to a stereotype being one & having the other, or is there something more too it than that?

You lot should harden up & get some castlated pistons.

can't wait to get these. then I'll fit some hiclones into my brake ducts too just to be sure. maybe a peter brock fuel polariser to up the power now that my brakes will be so kick ass.

Hey Baron, seeing as you are such an expert. If I fit a magnetic fuel expander to my car will it upset the uptake of Orgone energy through the polariser?

you need a brotec MFE-con. it controls the magnetic fuel expander maps to keep it all in harmony with your cars natural feng shui.

and yes I'm a sucker for Ti. I even have a Top Secret Titanium ash tray. :spank:

baron you are a stroker...

lol

can't believe you clowns ordered Ti shims.

do me a favour, when they come, get a gas soldering iron (or one of those little gas brazing jobbies), give one side of the shim a nice going over (say, around 600 degrees), then tell me how hot the other side is

lol

how about I rest one on your nipple whilst you're sleeping then put the gas torch on your knee cap. then try it again without the ti shim and see if there is any appreciable difference? :) or if you will just admit that you are jealous of them we can team up and do it to brisby instead. your call.

What about HPC coating(not sure if thats right like they do with exhaust manfolds you get what I mean :P) the shims? Wouldn't that give you a better thermal resistance than just bare metal on metal...whatever that metal might be?

i saw that andrew, though still skeptical - it's their site pic

would like to be proved wrong though, if it works i'll get on board!

No, the magic beans are ours, you can go spend 5k on a bigger brake kit :)

Even though the theory works, i still don't believe it to much, but we'll see hey.

    • This car has run before on this z32 ecu can get the part number for you, I have tried with no AFM it didn’t change anything, I compression tested today 140-150 across all 6 cylinders, also set fuel pressure to 43psi. The only weird thing was cylinder 1 plug was black and fouled other 5 cylinders were just wet with fuel. Spun cas by hand and confirmed injectors are clicking
    • Since you came here to ask for help, have you thought about answering our questions, that might help us lead you to why it was skipping, or have you given up on getting advice?
    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
