just tyding up the tune ,AFR was 8:1 or higher (probe only read to 8:1) and total timing in the topend was 30+ degrees advanced, the car is stuck on a bit over 260rwkw for some reason but aparently has a fat fat midrange and average power is much higher than when it was reading 300rwkw so we will see how it goes when i get to drive it!

oh and also fixing the bits that some ass broke when they tried to steal it last week

Cool

Are you bringing semi's down with you for the day?

Anyone remember down in ACT, when Vic had just bought his new rims... 2 minutes in the car park and he mini dents them

Sorry Vic :P

:P:yes: I really hate this thread....

FYI it is on the side which I dont see, which is good. And it's a mini dent.

Still im sad :( esp @ this thread. and wtf how does this relate to the topic.... oh nvm.. :(

*cuts self

Vic hey bud I think they really admire your driving ability that is why they started the thread with Vic LOL . I personaly would of said Mexicans because we all know they cant drive! LOL YOu can bud!

do you need to be a club member to come along? i want to come to the eastern creek day, what do i need to be able to go on the track?

No pretty sure these are just open days that anyone can do :P You need your cams licence LS2 cost $85 and last a year just need to fill out a form

http://www.cams.com.au/downloads/paperform...Application.pdf

so you just fill that out and you can go on track? thats great if thats how it works, will definately be there for sure,

do we have to pre book to get on the track or just rock up on the day?

EDIT: just had a quick read of the application form, says you have to be a member of a cams affiliated club, which im not at the moment, gues i wont be coming cause i dont have the money to pay for both plus the track fee.

oh well maybe next time

Easy as

Join SAUNSW, link is in my sig

Its not expensive, membership is usually sorted out within a week or so :spank:

What are you guys doing for timing? You all got laptimers or using hand-timing?

Also how do you determine the winning state? Is it the most people in the top10, the fastest car, etc?

You should use a control tyre too. Nankang NSII FTW!

Its going to be a close run thing as to wether i make it or not. head is going back on wednesday night then we have to put it all back together. Providing there are no further problems it should be fine. Booked in monday am for exhaust work, monday late am for a dyno touch up. monday pm for new tyres and wheel alignment so we can head out tuesday.

Only Anna, Andy, and myself from up here at this stage. plenty of interest but when push comes to shove most of them bail.

Whats the deal with wsid on friday night, is it the same as our t&t nights up here. Anybody welcome? If its open to all I might throw the mickey T's in the back seat and go play there as well.

Really looking forward to getting away from the grind for a few days, meeting some other liners and having fun at the track. Cyall there. (hopefully)

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
