ok people, every night i park my car in the driveway, and close the gate.

this mourning i got up to go work, and found the gate open....... FRIST THING! CHECK THE CAR, so i was looking and i found 1 of 4 of my lock nuts missing, from my rear wheels

NOW! i think they are finding / making a tool to get the other 3 lock nuts off quicker?

they know where i live, and my car is always in the driveway

i was thinking i stay up late, an when i see them then..... POW!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO!

(please this is not a joking matter)

holly crap that aint good.

well if you think they are making a tool to get the lock nuts of (which isnt that hard anyways) just for a piece of mind go get another set of nuts and have a mixed combo happening

try parking another car behind yours in the driveway if you can

know anyone with a dog? since you have a gate leave it in your front yard and it will make some noise if someone enters

tell the cops theres been an attempt to steal your car (lie to them) and get them to drive past every so often

get an alarm with tilt sensor in it so if they lift your car up of goes the alarm

first thing i would do is buy a new set of lock nuts..... no questions asked.

and are u sure 1 locknut didnt jus vibrate itself off? but anywayz thing to do :

1. get a couple a mates over wait up and see who comes along...

2. go to bunnings buy some criket bat size peices of wood (jus a bit thinner) and a heap of 3inch nails, sharpen the nails with a bench grinder or angle grinder (u want these babies sharp) nail them threw the peice of wood facing up (make sure they are spaced apart, so they dont support the weight of the foot when stood on) paint them the same color as your driveway and place in darker spots (ie: between car and fence) also remove all exteroir lighting for best effect.

3. install a sensor light...

4. lock the gate....

LOL :)

now that would hurt

but what if they miss it???

tie some bells to strings and run them around your car. if you hear bells jingling in the middle of the night, go out with your best golf driver and share some of the festive spirit.

Run some fishing line at shin height across the driveway, connect the end of the fishing line to something that will fall and make a loud noise (eg. frying pan or some shit). Cant remember where i saw this.. most likely on TV.

This way they will walk into the fishing line and then will make a loud noise, causing them to probably flee or gives you a chance to know they are there and give chase.

you do a couple, and there will most likely be 2people there, so 2 people stumpling around in the dark trying to get rims off, i think its a pretty safe bet that 1 of them will stand on it...

or connect the other end to a bucket on top of ur roof filled with petrol as well... thus awaking u and making it easy to light them on fire.

actually... i take it the gates steel? or at least the latch... wire it up to a car battery or even better... the mains power... so when they go to open it... CRISPY FRIED INTRUDER.

How about a sensor light? That will come on if there is any movement around the car, and you could probably sleep or sit near a window where you could see the light.

Get a few friends to stay over and bash the kunts good.

Non-violent way would be to park the car in the backyard if possible and setup a cheap surveillance/camera network, that way you can see what is going on.

However, who would go the non-violent way? These guys deserve to be beaten!

lol i am liking the fire part :)

an as for the nail in the wood....... my mum would use it on me, if she stood on it

is there anything you can buy that stops people knocking off your rims, besides lock nuts?

just sit in ur car all night and wait till they come... i take it u have tints????

that wud be the ultimate suprise, then yeh beat the shit out of them. after that u might want to move, or sell the car, actually move coz u can bet they will be back with a bigger group for revenge

ROFLLL!!! ...the funniest shyte i've heard today! :)

Get yourself a IR camera and set it up in the driveway and connect it to the AV to the T.V in ur room. Make sure its well hidden though. You can get good quality wireless color camera's with good IR for relatively cheap these days; mine cost $80 odd...

And if u really wanna be jazzy, u can get programs where u hook the camera to ur computer and it begins to record whenever it detects movement and sets off an alarm thru ur speakers

hmmm that would be a mad suprise....... yea i dont really feel like moving at this point of time

does anyone have a well trained dog that i can use? ill swap you for my stupid cat for a week.

like that WIFE SWAP program but with pets

sucks that someone is trying to steel your rims.

Might want to avoid causing any harm to them, because they know where you live and could take revenge back on the car.

Buy a sensor light and a dummy camera from dicksmith, they wont know if its real and will act as a great deterrent.

Or get microwave sensor for your alarm which should turn on alarm if anyone is close enough to the car.

    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
    • You're going to miss not worrying about rust in the strut towers like the Skyline shitboxes out there
    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
