DennisRB30
That and uniqueness. 25K is a fair bit extra to pay for interior space and extra dash knobs though... I still wan't one anyway though Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-409696 Share on other sites
predator
Kinda plain inside though. They do have that presence though with the kit and things. People will pay a lot to get the 4 door for those that want easier access to the back seats. To find a good R34 4-door is pretty difficult, especially around that price Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-409723 Share on other sites
DennisRB30
It is possible to find nice R33 4 doors cheap. I had access to 2 neat Grey 4 door autos with low km's. The were both around 11.5K. I nearly got one but decided I better buy a house before they go up in price so much that I can't afford one at all. My brother ended up with one with 50000 km's and immaculate condition besides one barely noticeable key scratch. What do R34 4 doors go for? Similar to a chaser? EVOIV
Gotta say that that Chaser with the R34 GTR rims is lurvely!! Can anyone import them? I guess they would be pretty expensive, like $50,000 mark? I'd love to get my hands on one. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-410108 Share on other sites
Cubes
I was reading a HPI mag at work last night. It looked like a JZE special as it only had supra's etc in it. The 2JZGTE and 1JZGTE motors apparently on stock internals will shiet over a RB in reliability. Apparently in the US its not uncommon to pull 700od HP out of a stock JZE without problems. The mentioned to look at www.supraforums.com I think it was. EVOIV
$35k aint too bad for a 1996 chaser. Seems very tempting. They look beautiful, go well and are so unique. Hardly any in OZ I bet!! Kinda like a pimp car with go Sorta reminds me of the M3. EVOIV
To me, chasers are the best 4door vehicles. The 4door skylines look a little funny, especially the R34. I actually prefer the R33 four doors, they look pretty cool - different. Then of course you have the rexs and EVOs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-410235 Share on other sites
Rezz
Heh, I almost went for a JZX90 MarkII, but Ikeya Formula ARE NOT going to make their sequencial shifter for them... so I went for the HCR32. dojobi
Has anyone got a pic of that awesome Chaser that was the poster in HPI? It definitely had street presence. Stang
I don't like the R33 sedans, but I love the R34.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-411498 Share on other sites
DennisRB30
The R34 does look tough. I would take one over a 2 door. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-411764 Share on other sites
EVOIV
Must say, that's one sweet looking 4door R34...but I still reckon a Chaser looks better. More style Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/19196-toyota-chasers/page/3/#findComment-411802 Share on other sites
NS2500
Since the R31, the 4-door Skylines until the R34 just looked awkward. The R34 is really nice (and it's still a Skyline!) but the Chaser's rareness and stock performance have my vote. funkymonkey
haha go for a Autech 260RS Stagea Seating for 6 in comfort + an RB26DETT with a 4 inch exhaust from turbo back (that's around 1.5m of 4" exhaust goodness.
