Good to see the R31's making a coomeback!!! Damn I need to stop running stock boost...

and tht would ME! Woohoo...spotted at last...bout f^&*in time! :(  What car were u in? The white wheels are for sale too btw ;)

LoL, I was in the work ute :) Came past you where the gateway meets the bruce highway. Dont sell the wheels unless your getting the same but bigger hey ;) They look pretty good.

anyone from here in the white 4door r34 at bretts wharf yesterday arvo?

there's a importer based in curtin ave, so it could have been someone from there. they seem to be bring it a huge number of skyline lately.

spotted a whole bunch of skylines in Cairns and Townsville over the last week or two.. was in a red mkII falcon in Cairns and revving the b00bies off the white Suzuki Ignis in Townsville (apparently) :O You'd never have noticed us..

Can't remember any rego's but saw a real nice silver 180 (cairns I think - 2/7) and a few white lines including a nice GTR, couple of burgundy 33's, I think a black 32(?) with FMIC pulling up outside the hotel (in t/ville).. a black 180 parked at Castletown, silver 34 in the city..

s15 followed by an nice white FD in brisbane near a nightowl somewhere on sunday night & spotted Abused (sp?) in Albion... slept a couple of doors down from you ;)

All very nice!

anyone know the owner of the orange 4dr 32 that was in an accident at the roundabout at newstead, just coming out of the valley. Sunday night. lots a emergency vehicles and a totalled taxi. didn't look like the line had much damage just to the rear right section. wonder what happened?

Finally spotted you today mate on beaudesert rd. Yeah tht bandaid you got on ur front bar sticks out like dogs balls! :O Guess you spotted me too!

Shane,

I think I spotted you the other week...along Beams road can't remember when.

There is also a series 1 white that parks at Zillmere station. No one has spotted me on the Northside, I am bloody Aspley I know white is common...I am soooo gonna drive around heaps now....

yes, that'd be me. my car atleast, as my brother has been borrowing mine of late as his GTiR has it's engine out for a couple of weeks...

i spot so many, i think i'm going to have to keep a notepad in the car a jot down plates when i see 'em

Maroon R32 ~6:55am M1 southbound at the logan motorway overpass. Had the light up skyline bit on the back, plates NIZ 032. Had RB30 Inside sicker on side and a massive FMIC. I gave him a wave but the tint was so dark couldnt see if he waved back or not. Also looked to have super dark tint on the windscreen too.

Looked very sleeperish, neat & tidy :P

    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
