i was driving through sunshine on sat night, and there was a flashing camera going full sick. it got about three cars going the opposite direction from me. poor c*nts.

i realise this thing wont work for all cams, but if it saves you only once a year, its a good year.

. . .

i sh*t the bed, thats why im up so late.

Camera's still need flashes at night and the red light camera's flash day or night. Even when a speed camera durin the day does not use a flash the rate of successful shots drops substantially, but as less people see the camera they get more photos so it adds up in their favour. This spay if it does replect will work against flashing cameras.

Mick.

they don't flash? - oh well, i guess we'll just have to take our number plates off altogether

yes, just ask dj_lethal how long you can get away with that for :)

yup, see it often, idiots are pretty dumb sometimes - car on the side of the road clear as day, box as obvious as your grandmother's...see if all the dickheads didn't get caught in obvious situations like that then they wouldn't get enough revenue and soon give up.

Well if you think about it, while a flash will increase the reflectivity significantly of anything, its not mandatory.. however if you take photos of anything reflective during the day it still can flare it all out with the right conditions and things - so could well work during the day.

I was watching something on TV last night.. they sounded a bit shitscared and admitted not much could be done just said "don't do it". Even admitted pretty much "its just not practical to ban certain products out there". In other words, other common aerosols will work just as well :D Now which brands, ones, etc??

i suggested for my flatmate to try the hairspray idea out and go at 100km/hr past the fixed camera here but he declined :D

Get your skyline to the drive in and watch that film from the RING, and then make a copy and pass it on so Samara wont come after you.

Its a $75 fine in NSW. Hair spray and so on doesnt work. I know someone who tried it. I wouldnt trust this stuff either untill i saw it work.

is that the speeding fine or for having the can of hairspray ? not that i use it me prefur gel personally :)

i saw someone get flashed from one of those combined red light and speed cameras. the thing is though that the light was green. i thought the idea was to stop people speeding up through orange lights, well thats what they told us. if that was true then it would only come on when the light goes orange. obviously they couldnt pass up an opurtunity to have another fixed speed camera out there making plenty of money for them

unfortunately, the speed cameras are the other way around in WA. they take pic from the front. and they dont send the pic to you in the mail. if you want to see it (worthwhile, coz its often the wrong car) you have to make an appointment and go it there. if its unclear (the plate) they often send it out to all the ones that its close to. they say if you pay, then you are admitting guilt. sucks so much. so what 'some people' do (not me of course :) is to send a cheque for about $1.50 more than the amount of the fine. so they cant cash it, because then they'd be recieving money illegally, and its not enough to send a refund checque for! this person i know (who looks a lot like me) has done it a few times now. :( worked every time! dont make it too much over tho, or its worth their while to refund it... :D

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
