hey all,

i got pulled into one of those random breath testing thingos today, cop breath tested me and then asked me if it was my car, which i said yes, and then asked if i could please lift up the bonnet, which i said sure no probs....as i was getting out the car he then asked me if i had a turbo or not, and i said no its n/a

so i lifted the bonnet...to have another 3 cops cmon and have a lookies, by this time i was absolute packing myself.....and they all had a very good look....one of the police said they were looking for a bov..... i just said that there was no real need for a bov in a non turbo.....

the cops were all nice and all didnt give me any crap about anything

all was good......height was not questioned either....they all had a good look at the car as i was leaving...

made sure i didnt make too much noise with the exhaust heheh

thought i just might share, that its not all bad.

for some :)

It's 99% attitude & 1% bad luck champ

I've owned imports of many kinds for nearly 7 years and never had any problems. If you don't drive like a tool, make your car look "fully sick", and look like a homie you will usually be right.

i must have that 1% bad luck cause im deffently not a homie, i dont drive like a tool, and my car isnt 'fully sick'

ask anyone how i am, how i drive and what my cars like......

if you drive your car dailey day in day out mon to fri youll get some sort of cop attention unless you have a horse shoe hidden up your ass :)

im always nice to them ask them how there nights been etc and there nice back by letting me has 72 hours to drive my car haha

my car is my daily and get driven 7 days a week....

does this mean i have a horseshoe up my ass :)

horse shoe = lucky if people didnt understand :)

nah cara, your car can get away with alot more then a turbo car. put a pob on a turbo car, the standard bov sounds louder, suspected bov, sends to regency.

also my age is against me and have to show p plates

remember last time i was done? they did me for suspected to loud as my car wasnt even turned on haha but i was is a stupid area

next time ill try a move from family guy and flash abit of nip :)

i got pulled over the other day just out of random, they checked my licence and breath tested me and that was it. the other cop walked around the front of my car and had a look and then went back to his car. then they left, just lucky i guess.

hah, i got defected in my magna for a snapped off muffler tip, cop was a real arsehole, wound me up hard and id already had a shitter of a night. told him he could suck a golf ball though a garden hose if he tried...didnt get me anyway in the end haha, but sure made me feel better about myself!

got a massive hour long(seemed that long) stare down behind regency by glasses, hard ass, inspector dude as I was crawling past obeying the speed limit

I'm hoping I dont get something in the mail not sure if they have defect powers also not sure what he was so emo about either my cars alittle loud

but relatively stock cough cough

i got pulled over for speeding, cop gave me a talking to and a warning and said next time hell defect me no matter how stock my car was.

i got pulled over 2 months later and now i dont have a licence. ill get it back very very soon though then ill rejoin the cruises lol.

Was that near Semaphore/Pt Adelaide, on the esplanade Cara?

you talkin bout yesterday trav? i drove thru one just around the corner on the esplanade (at the end of bower road) in the work truck

didnt make it big enough for the truck to get through.........flattened a few cones :nyaanyaa:

I think its more like that it was a girl driving the car.

My gf drove around in mine when it had a 4inch sidepipe and even stopped next to a cop car at traffic lights. They just looked and went on there way.

I was driveing also nice and easy with the full exhaust fitted back on and got done for undue noise.

Its all about cleavage ( . Y . )

    • That sounds like an excellent idea. But total self-sufficiency means exactly that. You have no-one else to blame when your system faults out and you have no power for a week or two while it gets fixed. You'd have to go the whole hog and get a diesel genny and all the switchover gear, to get you through such times. And, despite the fact that over 20 years, my system has been pretty reliable**, I have seen so many inverter explosions (or less dramatic deaths), panel and roof JB fires, and so on, over that time, to know that the stuff is the same as any other bulk Chinese manufactured stuff. The failure rate is well above zero - both on the equipment and on behalf of the meth addled installation labour force. And then..... warranty and means of redress against the supplier you bought the gear from. Best I can tell is that only a handful of solar companies are still around within 5 years of starting their advertising pitch. They disappear and phoenix like crazy. So, as per 1st paragraph, I suspect the only way to is go balls deep and spend maybe 2-3 times as much as you might think, so that you have every base covered. Plus, know and understand your gear intimately, so you can diagnose problems, sort them out yourself, etc, etc. Plus, probably have to consider upgrading various parts as the years pass, to maintain compatibility with newer stuff, performance and reliability, etc, etc. Whereas, remaining attached to the grid has an ongoing cost that keeps going up even if you use bugger all power from it. But it does provide the fallback in case of the worst case with your own gear. You either pay up front or as you go, I suspect.
    • Add more solar panels to the array. Call the electricity company and tell them you're moving out... Live off grid electric wise
    • Hi Jasmine. How's the war going?
    • I'm extremely suspicious of the VPP stuff. Best I can tell, you surrender any and all control of your panels and battery to the VPP, because there's no way that anyone could write a sufficiently useful set of "rules" as to how much you would be willing to let out of your export meter at any given time. If one of your main interests is to have enough in your battery every evening to get you through the night without having to import, you could easily find yourself with nothing in your battery at the end of the day, or part way through the night, and then be paying import pricing instead of paying nothing. I cannot see how this cannot come to pass.
    • majority aftermarket is an10 yes, but majority of OEM is An12 r35 OEM cooler lines at close to an 12, the hard line that car uses is almost 20mm  Porsche OEM is also AN12   i figure, if our power levels are close to 1000hp, then AN12 should be a must if many OEM standard power vehicles use AN12
