R35 Gt-r Genuine Parts Prices... Eek

Recommended Posts

Check em out ....

Engine Assembly: 3.2 million yen ($32,000 AUD)

Front Wheel: 149,000 yen ($1,500 AUD) each

Rear Wheel: 150,000 yen ($1,500 AUD) each

More at: http://www.gtrblog.com/ :P:wave:

These prices are new from Nissan of course.

While they are higher than R34 parts prices, they're not AS bad as I would of expected. The gearbox for example, the Getrag on the R34 was approaching that price when bought new too. The Rb26 on the other hand is like 50% that price new. Apples to oranges as they say.

Possibly from Nissan Australia. I think if you were to ask Nissan Australia what the prices on this stuff was once the car is out here we will pay a hefty premium over these Japanese prices. Tax, duty, shipping and markup would need to be factored in.

didn't 33 GT-R wheels cost $2K each to replace?

the engine is quite reasonable given the exotic and handbuilt nature

Nissan Aus price $3400 each , give or take a few $$$

Nissan OZ was charging $3.4k PER RIM for the 17" R33 rims??????!!!?? ahhh.... what the???

The rim prices (well the japanese prices) seem ok considering they are 20" rims... but if Nissan OZ was pushing 17" rims for $3.4k i HATE to think what they'll ask for 20" rims??

the reason for such high prices is because nissan dealers have to buy the parts off nissan australia and nissan australia have to buy them off nissan japan and everyone along the line wants to make money on the parts hence the mark up

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
