Find someone who is good at photoshopping and get them to photoshop an S15 front end onto a photo of your R32. That way, we can all see what it will look like and go from there. I think It'd look weird, but it could work. Up to you. But what about a 180SX front end? Or something outside the Nissan camp altogether?

might post on the photochop section

we'll see ...

S15 front on an R32 looks like arse, the S15 face demands a smooth back with curves, ie a S15 or a 180sx. An S15 front on an R32 looks like a S15 front on a S13 silvia with round taillights. The R32 demands a chunky front, to match the chunky butt. Even the S15 front on an S14 is kinda borderline for me, it works only because the s14's kinda rounded at the back.

There's a yellow S13 silvia in the US with an S15 front and Skyline tail lights grafted onto it. Looks like a steaming pile of shit.

For an R32 you want something butch... why not try a DTM style mercedes, audi or BMW front? Panels are readily available locally, they'll fit the lines of the R32 and it'll be quite different. If you wanna be REAL cheeky, grab a VE commodore frontend and graft it on. VE's look tough as fron the front.

it'll be even more sweeter if you do an LS1 swap which is getting more and more common in nissans these days... lighter than an RB25DET and makes more power with a LOT of potential for big numbers... plus it sits further back in the car further between the wheelbase, so it won't be as nose heavy.

this is the most bad ass conversion imo...... 180sx front on an s15 such a smooth transition in body lines.... unlike the s15 front on a skyline which is a pointy front end to a beefy rear which make it look hurtinnnnnnn it doesn't flow what soever

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
