Hi Guys

after getting a custom made plenum and putting on a xf throttle body, i have problems with having my accerator fitting properly.

If there is a possibility there is a smaller washer bottle from another car (one with two motors for front and rear) that fits in the same position as the standard one ( about half the size) everything will plan out very nicely.

Also

i have a turbosmart BOV and Turbosmart progate 48mm wastegate, and a AVC-R

read all the books, still confused, just installed a custom made high mount exhaust manifold. Can anyone explain ( preferably by diagram) how to hook up

all the vacuum lines from wastegate to AVC-R and BOV.

Thanks

Didn't you say in an earlier post that the R31 cable works and fits?

Anyway... I've temporarily shortened my R31 cable by cutting the eyelet off at the end, pulling the black outer sheath off, cutting that and rejoining using some fuel line and areldite. I then sourced a new eyelet from a motorbike shop and re-fitted that at the suitable length.

Long term plan is to get a custom one made up, or possibly try the S13/180x cable... Thats if anyone ever decides to reply to their pm's on NS.com....

Washer bottle... Not sure, but also need one for mine... I'll prob go a GReddy one, or one of the fancy ones available from yahoo japan

yeah i did say earlier that the r31 cable works, but its resting slightly up against my washer bottle which i am trying to get it away from.

i just dont want it to get jammed on the washer bottle.

Where can i get one of theses greddy washer bottles from?

im pretty sure alot of businesses could source them for me but who has them ready to purchase?

greddy washer came in my mspec kit.. hopefully you dont have to buy the whole kit though. alternatively i dont think it would be hard to make one. get another coolant reservoir and drill two holes in it and reuse the rubbers

greddy does a wicked one, i bougt in about 12 just before i left autobarn HO they are small and cheap and allow twin washers.

if u call $80 for a peice of plastic that holds water cheap............

go to ur local super cheap buy a universal bottle washer for $18

does the same shit

should be more than half that! i paid 1/3rd that

looks like the only place to buy them seperate is nengun, which takes 20 days.

Autobarn - i rang and they dont even have that part number on there system and cant get it apperantly.

ISC performance - can only buy it if you purchase the intercooler kit. The supplier will not seperate.

Is there any other options i can do, or any other water bottles that are smaller than standard that will fit with little adjusting.

Trust me they are there i (up until i resigned on the 21st) ran TRUST and BLITZ ect and all the performance parts at autobarn HO i bought in 12 and sold two that leaves 10 more in stock 100% guranteed.

vacuum lines i have all sorted nismo 31

i did alot of reading, and i dont think the setup i had before was correct haha, could of been the reason it was playing funny buggers.

I ended up ringing autobarn slacks creek and the chick there said she has 4 in the warehouse, so im getting somewhere. should have it next week.

    • Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.
    • Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.
    • People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
    • Decided for the first time ever I would tow my car TO the track day on the same working theory as bringing tools and spares "if I have it I wont need it, but if I leave it behind i will 100% need it" all setup and ready to go out and try these A050 for the first time First session showed I needed to stiffen up the dampers a touch but still managed a few 1:21's without much effort. things were looking good. Came in a dropped the tyres down  to 26/28 as they had gotten to 35/33C from 22C cold The first lap of session two I managed to drop into 1:20's. Then in the second lap into the second session. Coming into T3 and I suddenly lost brake pedal followed by some huge rear end vibrations and scraping sounds. Got it back into the pits after session ended and found this. in the attached video, all of the wobble is in the hub its self, wheel is mint, and bearing feels tight. lKXLqpd - Imgur.mp4   Deciding it was a bent spindle I tried to find bearing/hub assembly locally but was unsuccessful so it was loaded back onto the trailer i luckily brought it on to drag it back home
