Shipping Wheels Interstate... What To Use?

To my surprise a search gave me no hits so here goes.....

Which are the best shipping companies to ship larger items interstate.

I'm looking to post 4 19" rims from melb to perth.

Which company is best, most convenient and cheapest?

I've sent and received wheels and tyres through TNT. Last time received tyres was two weeks ago and it was $65 for 4 18" x 265's

Since most of these companies go by size not weight it shouldn't be much more than that.

i work for TNT and were not too bad. not sure about costs and stuff as thats not my area. but whatever you do get insurance. you would be surprised how much freight goes missing. its not just us but with most frieght companies.

so who ever you go with just make sure your covered if they get lost.

go for somthing like tnt or a roadfreight service. dont get a courier. I work for a big courier company and it would cost a hell of a lot more than $65 to send rims interstate. but if u need it overnight it would be good tho.

oh and +2 for insurance. keep it safe

I have received tyres through Greyhound Bus Freight. Items are delivered to the nearest bus depot where the buyer can pick them up or for a small extra fee get them delivered to their door. Found them cheap, quick and reliable.

In addition to TNT etc I have used Pack and Send to send a GTR gearbox....

I sent rims + tyres to Perth from Melbourne

They weighed about 25-30kg each

Cost about $200~

I just dropped off the wheels and they packaged, contacted the buyer and organized postage payment from buyer.
