Troy - I meant heading towards skinny.

A mate from another forum was 85kg and lean.. but wanted to get to single digits, so cut some more..

got to single digits but still wanted to get even tighter around the lower abs and obliques (he already was but at this stage he was well on his way to his problem.)

got down to 78kg and was lean as.

then, just like you say, he wanted to hold on to it, so stayed away from certain foods, just basically went to the extreme with food, training, sleep, timing of when he eats and what, timing around lifting, rest, duration or sets etc etc.

Anyway, he dissapeared off the forums for about 4 months and made a return.

When he came back online, he eventualy posted a thread titled "Guys, I've got a problem"

he told his story as above and then said that he'd been sick and then said he was 43kg and posted a picture.

I shit you not, it was a scary sight.

a skeleton of a man.

a long 18 months later he was back to a light 70kg.

he had to see a psychologist 3 times a week, a nutritionist 2 times a week and his doctor once a week.

for months they tried to get his blood work to how it should be for his age, but his body was f**ked up and wouldn't produce hormones like youd expect a mid 20's guy who used to lift.

Eventually had to be put on TRT.

It took him AGES to get his mind right and stop seeing himself as fat (even when he was around 50kg)

He is now 95kg, has benched close to 150, squats 200 and deadlifts 240

and is still fairly lean.

long story but I'm sure you can see some similarities from the story to what goes through your head.

Be careful mate.

Mitch - Do I need to remind you how to fix that?

f**k, full on story. In the end was the problem in his head or did he actually have a physiological condition?

I believe the problem in his head lead to him breaking his body through horrid training and eating habits...so a bit of both really lol

yeah.. what started off as a quest for more definition, lead to not eating, then getting sick and then worrying about getting fat and then more not eating.

it's not like he went nuts... he was still ok to talk to etc, but always made excuses when people were like "hey come over for a pizza and a movie"

Just a trap some personalities could fall in to.

Am I alone here in preferring to be that middle point in fat % ?

As in, core definition is decent, but you're not looking really tight.

Plenty of people seem to feel that way, though on these forums specifically maybe not so much, since we don't have many people here to gather opinions from and only a few of us are really training for appearance.

I see what you mean...I highly doubt I'd ever have such problems as that, and should I ever head towards it I can be absolutely certain I'd recognise what's happening rather than miss the problem and think there's nothing wrong.

Dinner last night was going to be 500g steak with a buttload of wedges, but unfortunately I discovered I no longer had wedges in the freezer :( so I replaced them with some veggies then had a cup of oats with honey for desert lol. f**k it.

I think the only real problem I DO have is that I really can't stand feeling physically bloated or just remotely uneasy in the gut, but this is only caused from certain things. Even if I have 1 tablespoon of organic peanut butter I get this weird feeling in my stomach, like it just doesn't sit right. However I can eat a disgustingly large amount of roast lamb with all the starchy sides followed by a heap of cake or something, and not have this same feeling...though of course I'll be ready to explode by the time I'm done.

It's not like I eat something bad and feel "fat", it's that I eat just a particular food and don't like the way my gut feels lol

    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
