Some observations.

Birds understands enough to coach someone (not well), but doesn't understand the female brain. no suprise there.. very few do.

Leesh is being typical female and not telling the whole story and is easily and quickly misguided.

Dans wife made a passing comment about his arse and he assumes squatting 50kg has made his bum grow - It hasn't!

Dan is a girly man cause he can't drink a protein shake with water.

Troy is a tight arse and should know that WPC is for plebs.

TT solutions to all these problems.

Dan needs to do some 20 rep squats then skull 2 scoops of powder and 1 scoop of dextrose in 300ml water instead of trying to give a master chef judge style review of the the texture and after taste of his protein shake.

Troy needs to spend less on drugs to buy some proper WPI to have after his Squats.

I don't spend anything on drugs lol, and generally my income each fortnight is more than I know what to do with....but there's nothing wrong with trying to save a few bucks here and there lol.

A) Not wife

B) The comment was one part of it, my pants are getting tighter around my legs and arse, not comfortable and when old ladies are making passes at me at the pub (happened...) I need to wear looser pants lol

C) Normally I like it with Milk but this stuff is good with water, I was very surprised.

D) I WANT her to squat, she would be an awesome squatter and she already has a great arse and legs but she sees her legs as being too big and manly, they are solid but in a good way to me. 5'7 and size 10.

E) Troy asked about the protein, I did my best to answer, as I appreciate when someone does for me - which is why I like forums. You will see I have a history of trying to share info on forums.

F) Serious question, WPC bad why? The breakdown appears better than the WPI I was using?

G) Honestly, I don't see it as a bad thing that we keep each others thoughts in mind. I don't like the attitude that when you're with someone long term you can just do as you please and they should always accept it, my last partner had that mentality, and she's an ex... I try to practice what I preach in that regard.

L33sh, go ahead and comment, I see no reason not to throw your few cents in, we might all have a dollar soon enough :)

Also, Physio likes what Matt taught me, said keep lifting and locking in the new techniques, in 2 weeks we'll re-assess how my ankle and core is going, then we can get some more focus on jogging.

The internet can describe why WPI is a better option than WPC better than I can and am willing to.

Look it up when you have hours to spare..

On the topic of your fat arse... surely you understand that the handful of squats and deads you've done at the weight you have has not made your arse or legs big.

If you got bigger, it's your food intake... donuts, blocks of cheese etc etc.

LEESH - squats and deadlifts do not make you get a big arse.

they make you get a NICE arse.

Those movements activate the muscles of the arse and hamstrings.

activating them and working them makes them stronger and tighter.

a stronger and tighter arse will be round, tight, sit up and be delicious.

BN Seems to think there WPC is better then the product I had, but no surprises there they want to sell it, so we'll just have to see.

Haha! Yes I do like to treat myself occasionally, but I do so sparingly, I just make a song and dance about it because I don't get to do it all the time...

And you don't honestly think that going from 0 squats and deads to BW reps hasn't had any impact on the sizes of the muscles targeted? Yeah makes sense... I know I'm not strong or doing big weight by anyone's standards but we're talking a notable increase in workload on those muscles. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that those muscles have gotten larger.

Given I've not gained weight (so fat burned and muscle gained), but have gotten stronger, and that my mid section and other areas of the body have not shown the same size changes, I'm gonna take a punt and say the weights has something to do with it.

As for the pic I agree, squats make arses look great., Kate is the one on the right + glorious post pregnancy boobs. She is a runner.

Mate... if you have actually developed enough muscle that it has made your wife who sees you everyday go "hey your legs and butt are bigger", by doing squats and deads with what has been less than body weight... AND have lost fat, all in the past 3 months, then you have some f**king magical genetics and should be Mr Universe in about 4 months time.

3mths is ages, can't say I've ever started or changed anything and not seen some results in that time frame, if that's not the case for you maybe you just have shit genetics?

My pants are tailored (cheap Thailand ones don't get excited) so they were pretty fitted. I've noticed it, she's noticed it, something changed.

If it makes you sleep better assume it's all fat and we can move on with our lives, or just assume no change has occurred at all, I'm guessing you would definitely know me and my splendid posterior better than I could possibly hope to :)

Tolga I've also read a study about how a casein / WPI blend is better for muscle synthesis than anything else... ended up just having ON Gold Standard in the end but will try a Bulk Nutrients WPI next time.

I've noticed my legs have gotten really muscular from lifting, more so than any other bodypart, and that's with just doing a regular bodypart split not Starting Strength or anything like that. Thinking about doing chest 2 times a week though, because the amount I can squat is way more than what I can bench (deadlift and OHP is getting there).

Dan: fark lifting for anyone but yourself, i know my mrs would have preferred me stay fat, but I couldn't stand it any more!

Started doing 10min or so of HIIT type cardio after training, feels good man, except on leg day!

I get what you're saying mate, but honestly it's not a big deal, I realise how it sounds but a comment from her in passing isn't some big ultimatum or anything.

It's simply a case of we try and really respect each others wishes within reason and keep each other happy rather than disregarding what the other wants/likes/prefers.

Of course there are some things where we will lay down the law but not on every front. If she had her way I'd have the athletic soccer player type physique, not too big, lean muscle, definition etc. I prefer to be heavier set, she knows that. Doesn't stop her being a smart arse and telling me my butt is big :D (I do the same to her...)

Your leg muscles are twice the size of the upper. Squatting more than bench is normal

    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi 
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off. 
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
