Question from the Infirmary for people with experience in hammy strains.

When looking at my left (good leg) from behind, the main tendon on the outside of the leg keeps twinging and carrying on, sometimes just walking, sometimes bending over to get things.

What's the process for fixing these sorts of strains? It only pulls a little up into the "meat' of the hammy so to speak.

I've been foam rolling it and doing stretches. I skipped gym Monday and may skip tonight as well as I've got some other niggles at the moment and haven't taken a full week off in a while.

yeah I've been finding them quite amusing and informative and have inspired me to really start busting my arse at the gym again instead of being scared to keep going heavier - I hope you do collate it all into a book and make some real money out of it!

Why would you title it 'where do you live', or is that a joke? Do you also have published somewhere the kinds of stuff you do for your cardio routines?

The newsletter that caused them to go viral was this one

http://ptcfrankston.com/doc/newsletter/PTC_Newsletter_IssueNo17.html

After this one got out, originally they were simply for my clients, everyone wanted to get on a mailing list

I cant believe how big it is now, up to # 180, subscribers all over the world, Kenya, Russia, Netherlands, America, Ireland etc

Its not my favourite, but its the one that got people to notice

My favourite is this one

No better place than a Skylines forum for that one, I love it

It's going to much easier to lose the fat with more muscle mass, but it's not like it isn't possible to do without gaining first. Timeframes, training, and goals would all play a part in this decision.

no I probably wouldn't - I've been training and cleaned up my diet for 6 months now, but after reading your newsletters, the thought occurred to me that I might be under eating instead of eating more to build muscle, and therefore increase my BMR.

Possibly even to the point of just eating more meat and having less protein shakes.

It's unfortunate that I can't find anyone in my friend group who is interested in trying the PTC style of training (3 x a week compounds, 2x of cardio with weights), everyone is still dogmatic about the bodypart split thing!

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
