Mitch, this is not the place for the debate, I'll leave it with saying I'm 51 years old, and the effects of alcohol compared to the effects of AAS are 100% worse, in what I have seen in my time.

Alcohol destroys societies. I would be absolutely gutted if my kids drank, gutted. Actually that goes for my entire powerlifting team, not one drinker amongst the swollen crew.

I think we should leave this alone, I am outnumbered 1,000 to 1 on here.

i agree it isn't the place for the debate. But I will agree with the point I think you are actually making, the abuse of alcohol is just as bad as the abuse of steroids. Key word for me is abuse.

I would love to do one or two cycles of steroids just to see, but the potential risk on my health (which I would hazard a guess) is probably higher then most other peoples.

To keep this thread upbeat

Not only do we have a fridge and microwave, we also have a BBQ. In the better weather its steaks all round.

Its fair to say eating plays a big role at PTC

Across the road we have a supermarket, BBQ chicken shop, bakery, fish and chips and a noodle bar, directly across the road, a 2 minute stroll.

Two minutes up the road is KFC and Mickey D's

If someone arrives to the gym late, they generally bring a big bag of burgers

Another favourite is chocolate milk, always have litres of it in my fridge

The supplement bar only has RTD protein shakes and protein bars

I think we should leave this alone, I am outnumbered 1,000 to 1 on here.

1,000 to 2!

Don't know anyone who has died because of someone else's steroid use. Alcohol and driving...

Alcohol ruins families. It is only legal for three reasons: tax, longstanding societal traditions/rights/laws, and death/destruction being so slow and steady that it can't be blamed directly - which is what makes it so deadly.

One of my favourite films, Warrior, has a very realistic sub plot revolving around alcoholism being responsible for an entire estranged family. Seen it happen time and time again in real life.

Smoking and gambling are the same. The latter tears families apart and is so unregulated it's not funny.

Do I think they should all be legal? Yes, people should have the choice and freedom IMO. But I also think PEDs should be legal and somewhat regulated, like alcohol is. Hard to judge what substance would be more harmful if both were given equal widespread use, but alcohol is definitely more harmful.

My $3.50

Hah...I always cop shit at restaurants for ordering a chocolate milkshake with lunch/dinner. Waitress inevitably laughs; friends ask if I'm 8 years old before ordering their beers*...

Just part of the lifestyle, I guess.

*then complain they aren't getting anywhere with gym or can't lose their gut

If you're repeatedly geting stuck at say 6 to 7 reps on your final set of 3x8s, whats the best way to get past it?

Brief pause and do the missing reps?

normal break then extra set?

Just add more weight to that set next time?

Or add weight to the previous sets?

Or maybe longer break before final set?

Increase weight and do a 4th set for as many reps as you can. Or do a 4th set of the same weight for as many as you can do. There's no exact equation for it, just do MORE of something heavy. Come back next time and magically discover your 7-8th rep on the 3rd set!

more.

another set in your case.

I spent some time with the US powerlifters that just competed in Tassie.

Eric Lilliebridge had chocolate milk with him 24/7

Brandon Lilly drank 4 litres of it during breakfast, every day he was here

Kirill Sarychev had 40 litres of milk sent to his room when he arrived, I have no idea how he stored it, maybe he just drank it all, he has benched 315kg raw after all

These boys redefined big eaters, it was an eye opener to my crew

Train heavier 3-5 reps. You will eventually be able to do more reps on that 7 rep weight and you get stronger faster. You can rest your ass off between sets. Lifting very heavy i would wait for my heart rate to return to rest sometimes. You dont have to do that though

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
