Is anyone going with an M35 Stagea?

My wife is keen on getting one after i showed her a few pics (beats the shit out of buying a Hyundai Tuscon!!) so i am keen for her to see one in person or even better if one is getting round the track we can watch.

Thanks ssshonkey - i prefer to call the mk1 tough rather than cute. I have surprised a few people at the track who thought the car was cute! (12.83 qtr mile)

I will bring the stagea for a look and hope someone in an M35 turns up too.

See you there.

I don`t think you will see one as i have hear of Karl & he will not be coming as for work is to busy,so that is one of only MN35 in perth ????,lookng forwaard to seeing you all on sunday at noon ,cheer`s chuckie.

bwhahah., keen as mustard hey?

I still have this small reversing camera - anyone have a handycam they can attach it to ?

then just get some duct tape and put the camera on the front bar or something

( comes with a 5 m extension lead )

and tape your trip around the track ;)

This can be done? I have a camera and would be interested to trying it :P

Kylie, When i spoke to Mitch the other day he said you guys were going to pay for me :/ Ill send you the refund next week.

Oh. What do you reckon the latest you will know will be? If you cant make it, i MAY be able to fill the spot on short notice. my ph# is 0402 507 738. Let me know by Saturday Afternoon if you can. If i dont hear from you, ill assume you will be there :P

Cheers

Brad

I will come down and watch / film / photograph the action, but unfortunatley, won't be participating in the fun. Can't wait to see so many Stageas in one place. Anyone who wants some footage of their runs, let me know afterwards.

Chucky, i know your planning on a small bbq, but be aware that at times AHG have a food van there. If it is there, you wont be able to use yours as AHG might get a touch upset about that.

A variety of drinks will be available...I intend on having some coke, lemonade etc and water. this is purchased from the extra $5 everyone has paid. I am sure there will be plenty for everyone.

Guys please make sure you have all the little things ready to go for tomorrow (by that i mean license etc as ppl have been known to leave things like this at home). With out these type of things, AHG wont let you drive.

Make sure windscreen is clean, no loose objects in cars etc etc....we should all get the gist of it now

Daylight Savings changes tomorrow. Keep this in mind and please try to be on time. If you do have issues, it would be great if you can let me know. My mobile number is a couple of posts up. :P

When you get there, please come and find me so i can mark you off the list as being there, and also record the details i need from you (like your name as most of you i only know by user-name here)

Looks like good weather to

See you all there. Any problems, please let me know

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
