What restrictions lol, seems it being driven pretty much every day. Might get away with permits a couple of times but they wouldn't allow permits on it all the time, especially because they should know what car it is.

haha if there as stupid as Channel 10 they probably get the car wrong in someway!!

Hope the r35 GTR does come down =) be a great icon of the day!!

Yes it would be good to see it, but lets not get too excited.

Could everyone entry the event please make sure you have downloaded the form in the first post....it will need to be filled out before the car goes on the Dyno.

Thanks for the reminder Brad, nearly forgot...

Car feels alot better after the alignment this morning :D

Just got a call from Abdus at Tenegah, the GTR may or may not be ready for this. I will be rocking up anyway for a look see and to meet people. If the car isn't ready, I'll donate my spot to the most deserving individual.

I didn't print off the form, as I only got the call after I left work and don't have a printer, although Tenegah have my car at the moment, so I guess they understand a bit about it and me..

It will need a boost tune though as the AVC-R will be miles off and likely to attempt to run infinite boost.. Might need a few quick back street runs for tuning first.

i got a form printed off u can have coz i decided mine wont take part it's too sick :(

but i will be there with cam and vid

I haven't got a working printer so I can't print the form :( I'm think they would be able to provide some because I'm sure a few people would forget anyway... Might pop down in the morning before work & see

If there's still a spot left, I'll be keen to come down and throw my car on. Just a stocker so nothing to be excited about, but keen to check AFR's and get a power figure before I start doing anything so I can compare later on.

EDIT: Just spoke to Chris (7yphon) and his car won't be ready, so I'll just take his place on the list. Will try to get him to get online and post to confirm

Just picked up my car from Tenagah this evening, sounding lovely and lumpy and not running lean anymore. Cam covers are an awesome colour.

Apparently Yorik, your car only has about 30 minutes more work and its done also.

Good going guys, my lowest hp GTR position is safe

See everyone bright and early :)

Just got word from Abdus that that GTR is ready for tomorrow. This is pretty damned good. These guys are great. So I guess I'll need that Dyno Form now after all and I might even need to take it for a quikc blatt to do some boost controller tuning..

Since coming down to Perth, I have found a great place for my bike and my car.

Bring on the 400+

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
