Only Macka does 15sec quarters:p Haha, thought I might get a bite out of you Simon.

BTW, I beat your dyno figure yesterday, made 296rwhp, and mine still has stock turbo:D Might not be able to beat you in a race, but I can on the dyno:D

Whether you have a Skyline through your own hard work, or you were lucky enough to be given one, I think the real winner is the diversification of the cars on our roads. (Very left field here)

Let me demonstrate...

Before FastnFurious came out I knew bugger all about any car. I thought the coolest cars on the road were the Celica's bcos at the time they appealed to me, and infact that what I had seen on our roads! After watching this movie, it opened up my eyes to a world I was definitely missing out on. I researched all I could about these cars I had seen and started getting into the whole import culture.

Knowing something about how a car works and what a turbo does and all the other stuff is interesting, and for fellow entusiasts like me its great to find out more! Having these impressive machines on the road today jst makes me wanna learn more!

I tink in the end, if we didn't have great imports coming in there would be very little diversity on our roads, and having lots of diversity is good. It gives us something to look at, something to learn about, and something to dream about too....

Amen...

lol jst my 2cents worth...

Vin

Im glad you said the fast and the furious wanted to make you learn more rather than actually letting it teach you everything you know. That movie is so full of innacurracy that I know people who went to the sequel just for a laugh. Apparently its not a comedy?

Anyway, just as long as the 15 year rule doesnt result in copious amounts of R32's on the road ill be happy :( You can keep your R33's boys :P

Red17

LOL @ Rev210 .... it better be a summer day guys because the chicks dont wear much .... now to just find some demin cutoff shorts and carry some speedcones around to place down on the road so u guys can race :P

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
