Edit:

For people interested on Thursday

Time: Thurday 8:30pm (not finalized; could be earlier/later depending what people want)

Location:BP Petrol station on the intersection of High Street Rd and Stud Rd

---------------

As per other post;

Recustoms is having a dyno day this friday.

Anyone interested in a carwash meet wednesday/thursday? Most likely 8pm+ so we can use buckets without disturbing people.

Anyone have any suggestions of a large carwash which is usually empty and located somewhere in the south-east?

Cheers :(

South East where abouts? Name some suburbs, like Oakley that side of town? Wouldn't mind just check ya cars out at the car wash. If so Wednesday night, can't make it thrus/friday.

theres like a car lovers on the corner of heatherton and springy rd conveniently opposite maca's. then theres a petrol/carwash station further down springy rd near the train station then theres the BP one which is nice further down on the corner of wellington and springy but i doubt you'll be able to use a bucket unless you ask them nicely. theres another one futher down. thats all i can think of for now in my area.

could meet up at the BP carwash on the corner of high street road and stud road. Fair few members from the knox / rowville area from what i have seen?

could then cruise down high street, to the Glen and take some photos in the multi-plex carpark or something

Thats a nice big carwash too. However it is looking like rain today and tomorrow, hopefully weatherman is wrong.

Guess I'm down for that. Photos would be nice too! Meets u all down at the glen for a photo shoot.

Name a time I guess...

I'll be down for this.

Depending on how many people are coming, the one West is talking about is alright (the one along Cheltenham Rd in between supercheap and TAB?). Should be nice and quiet as well.

They are predicting now that Thursday will be rain free :(

The Highstreet/stud rd sounds like a good choice (most likely cause i only live 5mins away )

Although its a bit far for the Dande, Noblepark, Rowville etc SE residents...

Which place is everyone keen on going to?

i'm up for the stud road / high street bp  dont forget you can fill up on 98 ultimate too :(

ive swapped over from bp to shell and car runs much better :)

Not to mention saving 6cents per litre (4cent coupon + spend $2 in store for 2cents off :))

Okay then;

I guess no one has any issues againts bp carwash on stud road?

Yeah, its close enough to Rowville. Weather pending ill try swing down on Thursday night too. I may get there a bit earlier though, around 7 - 7:30ish i think. Need to pickup the gf at 9:30.

So when's this happening? Thursday night or tonight? Time?

Anyone from Dandenong/Keysborough want to cruise to the wash place? I've got no idea where that is. I can always just drive down Stud Rd and see where a bunch of skylines are though.

^^ COOL!

Oh can it be TONIGHT??? Wednesday...

So it BP Petrol station on the intersection of High Street Rd and Stud Rd, Rowville.

What time you guys heading down to car wash? 7-7:30pm? If so Im in, bring my camera too!

So we all up for it?

weather.com.au are predicting showers on Thursday during the day.

If we wash cars tonight, they'll just get dirty tomorrow during the day..

im available only on Thursday, but if the majority want tonight then there is no reason why they cant go

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
