Im pretty sure I would if it was my car.. Insurance or not the time and effort you put in is worth more than a cheque from the insurance company. Not to mention 30 days to greeve..

i hope this car gets returned to you, when my car was stolen it was seen in hurstville also, eventualy found in st george area, so im sorry to say i know how you feel.. i hope your story ends up like mine as my car was found dumped and outa petrol on the side of the road, gota love thirsty rb20's :(

People that do this are so disturbed!!!

JUST JAP have done massive favours for my - all the boys are really good blokes if i want someting, i never contemplate going elsewhere...

I sucks to see how much time and effort was put into this car and them some low life knocks it off... Its kind of like taking away a member of ones family...

Steve & boys - i really hope this car turns up along with those who took - i will pray tonight that they will been thrown in jail where they will get A$S reemed by one of their incestrous cousins.

Good luck and please keep us posted!

Paul

steve theres next to no doubt the people that have taken it are the same ones that took my GTR from autosport.

Brad - Without mentioning names, did you ever find out who actually took your car?

Lowlife scum :)

What kind of person..... or further, what kind of parents raise their kids to believe that they don't need to work for anything, but instead just take what they want from others?

Hope your get the car back undamaged Steve, and that the thieves are actually prosecuted and JAILED instead of being let off with a suspended sentence or some stupid community service sentence that is never actually enforced

Paul No I never got names or anything, I just got told where to pick the dumped car up from and went there. Steve and darren have all the info I have anyways.

The people your dealing with have without a doubt stolen many of the cars lattely.

I rekon there is a few white 180sx's they have.

Its really behond a joke now.

Anyone leaving there cars around the shire should really have some form of killswitches fitted.

They stole mine by breaking in cleanly. Then smashing the ignition off the steering colum. They removed the ignition switch from the key barrel and could have used anything from there to start it and drive away.

I think if the thing wont start straight up they will leave it alone and nick off.

Alarms are way to easy to get around but well hidden switches can be very difficult to find in a hurry.

Absolute Bullshit....

How can someone possibly have the balls to nick something from outside your shop. Thats just Flucking insane! Sorry to hear guys and I pray that a good ending comes of this...

To be honest, people who do this have no respect for people so why should we have any kind of respect to them. I hope they get everything they deserve + more..

Thats really f**ked guys  Sorry to hear...

Hope you get it back in one piece, its seriously beyond belief how brazen theives have lately become...

They're the absolute scum of the earth and nothing more to it. I can't comrehend how some people could take the pride and joy of others (who have probably worked their asses off to afford in the first place) and then f**k it up because they are too lazy to make an honest buck.

wow this incident sends a msg that no matter where you leave ur car, its never safe no more =/

hope you guys get the s13 back & get those scums behind bars.

Thats nasty! it seems like a well hit area at the moment for these cars..

I was lucky mine wasnt taken from autosport the day before brads went missing.

i really hope you guys get that car back!!

    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
