oh and for the record, most cases i wouldnt say shit to a cop, unless i was already f**ked. cops have real control over what happens to me, so its a calculated move on my behalf. sled doesnt, so why would i care?

So you are saying that you outright will not respect the mods, even though they are the elected officials to keep the peace/law?

If that is the case, I will ban you right now and you really are gone.

Respond.

lol, ok so insults are acceptable if the mods think its justified, that's what ur telling me?

holy shit.

Yes to some degree - we get to use our judgement and act accordingly. All the time Sled, Helso and I converse about various issues and posts to gauge a sense of how far is too far or to check whether an opniion is justified. You should see how many times tonight my phone has gone off with an SMS from one of them, or another concerned member.

People insult each other all the time on here. It is up to us to decide how serious it is or whether it is a bit of keyboard warrioring. What else are we supposed to do?

Like I said previously - it is NOT about name calling. It is about a long history of showing no respect and generally being disruptive for little or no good reason.

I am off to bed as you give me a headache.

how that get in there

post-31501-1245251290.jpg

i tried asking him why he does what he does and the only answer he can come up with is "its a free forum" its quite clear he just likes stirring sh%t and abusing others. from what i seen he started going emo once the talks with officier neil started. the trouble is the worst comments he makes always get deleted so some ppl think he not as bad as others make out.

also the deleting makes it look like everyone just hurls abuse at him for no reason

This issue is not about a little spate of name calling, Both you and Ted (much more Ted than you, I might admit) have long histories of stirring up shit that is not welcome. Yes, plenty of others on here stir shit (me included), but it is all a bit tongue in cheek, and you will find that nearly everyone that gives someone else shit on here is actually good friends in person, not just some nameless keyboard warrior.

bahaha, u think all the shit stirring i do is serious? lol

ull find that a lot of people off this site have met me, moreso on ns, in fact i think theres not a lot of members on ns who's met more members in real life than me. as far as being a keyboard warrior, without meeting me in real life that's a pretty big call, ull find that i have no reservations to stand by my arguments in real life just like i do in here.

Final point: respect the mods or we will ban you. Like it or lump it, WE ARE the SAU police, and if you are not being courteous to your elders/moderators, then you will be punished. Easy as that. You can't honestly think some of your comments and behaviour toward Sled wouldn't have you banned in one microsecond on ns.com? I know for a fact you would be long gone.

respect? you are member with the responsibility to moderate the site, you do not automatically deserve any more respect than an average member.

i respect a lot of moderators for doing a good job of moderating.

as far as ns goes, ud be surprised, see over there they moderate to the guidelines, sure sometimes there's a bit of moderators discretion, but overall i find it quite good. and as hard as it is for u to understand, not all the mods over there love me as much as u guys do. yet they are still able to keep there personal feelings away from their moderating, most of the time at least.

so the numerous times ted was called a wanker or something, it was concluded that it wasnt serious, and it shouldnt be punished?

i was talking about in real life, sled is not a moderator in real life.

i will respect the mods, when they are doing a good job.

for instance i respect iron chef as a mod on ns (popped into my mind after seeing his post in here) as he does a good job of moderating, he has warned me before, and i was fine with it, why? because i was warned because i broke the rules and i was out of line, i didnt just simply disagree with him.

See, Dan knows how to push the boundaries of good taste with a bit of humour.

Pity he sucks at B-Ball - my shots owned yours on Saturday night :)

im an accountant nerd my humour can not be called good taste

as for the b ball, you know i knocked down those turnaround jumpers like i was the friggen next white trash larry bird star out there

Dude you havent been banned so just give it a rest. Im pretty sure 90% of the people think the mods are fair and doing a good job. They have to put up with a lot of know it all knobs.

btw, just so we're clear:

btw scandyflick made this thread awesome, i naturally assumed the contrary since it was sled approved lol

this is shit stirring.

lol nissdik, I wondered how long it would be before the dribble started again......having said that, I don't mind a bit of sarcasm from mates .

You must be a very little man with a 10ft tall keyboard......can't wait to get acquainted!

this is a personal attack.

there's nothing illegal about a bit of shit stirring, sled could have chosen to be mature and ignored it, but instead he took the immature route and reply with a personal attack. he escalated it.

honestly i thought this would be pretty clear, as a moderator you're role is to keep the peace, not escalate trouble.

sled could have simply let the intial argument slide, doing his job of keeping the peace, but instead he chose to escalate it and return fire, then when he got annoyed i was the one that was warned, even though we were both playing equal roles.

if i have to tell u this isnt right, then you shouldnt be a moderator.

i was banned.

but that's not the issue, i dont care if i get banned or warned, as long as it was for the right thing. if i did something wrong then so be it, if it was simply a mod getting annoyed at me then that's a different story.

personally speaking my mind and not hiding in a little hole is worth more than a week of SAU.

i was just banned on ns for calling someone a name, tbqh it doesnt worry me, i know i was in the wrong even though i wasnt being serious, it was a slip up on my behalf and i'll happily take it.

you are a feeble minded warrior with little man syndrome and foot in mouth disease yet you accuse ME of double standards......you're still breathing on these boards because I let you.

Your insults have not been deleted and you haven't been banned (YET) so how do I have double standards?!! :D

If you are permanently banned in the very near future, it'll probably be because you have antagonized other members AGAIN one time too many.

You say that you can successfully separate sentiments on these boards with real life.........yeah right, I can't so I don't know how you can......I'd almost lay odds that you would cross the road in public if you saw me coming towards you......you clearly know nothing about me or my past life experiences or what sets me off, yet you are prepared to keep stirring the pot and risk whatever possible outcome that may or may not eventuate.

Guys like Dan, Dave etc can stir me and know how I'll take it cause they're mates.......you on the other hand have not built up any repour with me and therefore not only don't have the privilige of doing so, but it's not welcome.

Nightcrawler stated that he'd doubt if you would sling your insults to my face and you clearly replied that you wouldn't to a cop but you would to me........well that'll be an interesting day that I look forward to!

Yeah that would have been me, i work at Tonkins in Salisbury, so any given day you will see either a silver, black or white stag parked out front! Although you might need your eyes checked because i have been driving the white 260 for the whole week! lol! Being pearl white though it does give a silverish gleam in the sun!

I am colour blind I admit (not with those colours though!) and I haven't had enough sleep in the last week or so.... :D

Im not quite understanding here......

So for example, if a newbie came along and saw Dan and/or Dave "stirring" yourself or anyone for that matter, and saw that they had the "privilige" to do so, then it should be open slather for them or anyone else to do the same, shouldnt it?? Im not seeing how 2 or more people have more "privilges" than any normal forum user, after all in this country we are all about equal rights arent we??

Its ok to be mates outside of the forum, but when it comes to when everyone and moderating on a forum, the mateship should go out the door and mate or not should be treated the same way as a first poster.

SPOTTED SAU BECOMING RIKI LAKE

And TED the victim posts

Pretty sure the lifetime woman bashing of a particular member for no apparent reason sums it up what has taken place, I don't see how you can argue that. new members may also leave because of the abuse they recieve.

i recall a thread my cars been stolen anyone sees it let me know

teds response 1 less 33 to worry about

:D good way to make friends

theres much worse but i dont wanna repeat those kinds of posts

all i eva see is abusive posts get deleted then ppl complaining they didnt do anything wrong when clearly they did its just been taken off the forum.

also :P this guy indicates your joking. if you see people that know each other giving each other sh%t would you walk up and say hey d head the same as they were doing?

note i used the lil guy when nugzy joined up and i told him to p off :D this guy indicated i was joking and a just kidding comment below confirmed :P if he complained id be the 1st to apoligize to the man but we dont get that here just more abuse out of tedbear

also we clearly aint talking about newbies here, never had a newbie do that have we?

this is not just 1 incident but a solid year of the same cr*p you talk like if we let him back on he would post helpful kind comments. but guess what hell wait 2weeks then "spotted r34 with stickers look gay" same old boring cr%p. he's never apoligized to anyone he's offended just abused them more.

clearly the guys aim is to p everyone off on here its not that hard to see, i just think he's funny but others do get offended by his posts

well in the end end,

i've met sled and nightcrawler and heslo. also are top vlokes and quite funny and great people to be around.

ive also met nisskid once at his house a few years back when i bought an idle control valve off him. said if it didnt work bring it back and he would give my cash back. seemed like a nice enough guy.

met tim (ted) at a car show. seemed very laid back and pretty chill and i spoke to him on msn.

in the end i think people take the net way to seriously and you all need to step back and breath.

were all here for the same thing. cars, friends and cheap car shit!

well i follow your example ted, i was just making jokes like you do.

spotted caras car its gay hahahha

thanks dan :D

and i say that Jerry Springer is better than Riki Lake too................

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
