yeah i like it. I think its good, just like a stagea almost... hahaa gtr suv... insnt that wat a stagea is. Agree not best looking but meh, bet it looks better in life.

If there is a market that will sell tens of thousands then i can see it happening. What i cant see happening is it having the GTR badge or too many common panels. Some driveline components, perhaps engine less turbos or different state of tune and some styling hints of the top of the range GTR will see it being a huge seller. This equals Nissan profitable again and we may get a decent Silvia replacement s budget rwd sports coupe

im only going to say it once....... UG-LY

But what do you expect doesnt one of those french euro trash companys that make those fugly so called cars own nissan now?

im willing to bet they had something to do with this like that abortion of a car Tiida

Like the proposed Infiniti sedan, if they make a SUV out of the PM platform there's no way it'll be badged as a GT-R. Ghosn wants the GT-R to be exclusive. It doesn't mean its tech has to be.

The Z33 and the V35 / V36 share the same platform, but there's almost no sheet metal or interior trim (aside from the shift knob and surround) that's common. Both cars are popular in their markets, and profitable despite only sharing the FM platform.

And those pictures look like something a student at a Photoshop crash course would have churned out on their first day or two. They look too much like a stretched and squished GT-R, rather than a separate car. At least that sedan, while having GT-R cues, still looks like a different car and is at least somewhat plausible.

This just sounds like a "Infiniti wants an AWD four door based on the PM platform, what flights of fancy can we come up with for the American market?"

I'd guess that, in a few days, someone is going to post pics of a "GT-R dual cab pick-up truck" to compete against the TRD Hilux and Holden Crewman, etc.....and we'll see another thread on SAU full of posts about how its ruining the GT-R name.

You're all forgetting about stagea's.......... also have the RB26DETT in them and they're a 4wd type car........

That's still ugly though and i'm not for it.

yeh, im all for making a sports SUV with a VR38 in it, but dont call it a GTR.

agreed, as long as there is no GTR badge on it, then do it.

Will be $50K+ cheaper than a Cayenne Turbo and they are an ugly looking thing too.

helical style burnouts in a gtr style SUV would be cool!

the Cayenne isnt called a 911T, so this shouldnt be consider a GTR.

Nissan must really have it out for Porsche, trying to beat them in everything!

Good idea, and plenty of people will buy this in Fat Land. But don't call it a GTR, bloody Nissan d!kheads.

Whats the point of the GTR, a sharp, tech-filled, manga designed rocket that gets super-sized and slow so people like Oprah can look fat inside it?

Good idea as the Murano's big brother. Bad idea as a GTR.

IDEA: How about calling it the Nissan XXL?

if they do it it wont look like the gtr and it wont be badged as one. just like the stagea. itll probably look more like the murano piece of crap but go much faster. if they made it look the same and badged it the same the GTR name will lose all its exclusivity, and supercarivity. (yep its my new word)

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
