Hey Mate,

I've send your updated details, but no reply as of yet.

i did send this direct to acpt tho.

i also asked moar questions and shall report as soon as i know!

Did not get a reply yet from Acpt,

so i sent details thru to Aussie distributor, which have now been updated with him

as for time frame, still unsure, still in queue as we got in just after big promotions for Acpt.. which has caused a delay.

I have the news everyone has been waiting to hear :D

I have an email at home but have not been able to post it as the forums have been moving..

the 18th i will most probably be making the final deposit and they will be getting sent out.

we are on the production line at the moment i think. so not long now :woot:

will post email when i get home

thanks for the patience

Andrew

Nice one mate. My R is is getting the gearbox and rear diff done at the same time. Then it's on the dyno for a pass or two. I have'nt made any changes since the last dyno run so it should hopefully show any gains from the CF shaft

great to see they have started. Do they have an ETA on delivery as you have stated final deposit on the 18th...

Hope they got the shaft length correct on mine

Edited by Dr R

yerp the 18th and onwards they are expecting the shafts to be ready

and i figure something like fedex for delivery dew to their size,

so thats usually under 3 days..

i will confirm all this with him

niiicee this will be interesting

Hey Andrew..

I got one small drama in that I`m heading to Korea 26/8 then onto Oz and wont be back to Jappa until Sept 18th..I dont mind paying extra coin for fast Fedex or UPS from the states if it can be delivered before 26/8.

Whats the chance they`ll be ready by 18th this month??

Hey Mark,

I'll check with him to see what he thinks the date will be, he thinks they will be ready by the 18th but i will check again.

i'm sure dew to their length they will be fedex 2-3 day delivery anyway. its the only way to ship out of the us i know this from snowboard purchaces

Cheers bloke....

UPS do it as well..2-5 days..the more you pay the faster it gets here..

Andrew if you want snowboard gear, buy out of Japan as its cheap as chips...Boots are a hassle cause not many big feet but but last seasons boards, bindings, snow wear goggles etc are usually half price or less. The Japanese always buy the latest and greatest and hardly buy last seasons gear, plus everything goes on sale here in Oct and by Dec its heavily discounted..

More than happy to help out if your after anything...I live in the powder capital of Japan and am regularly digging me GTR out of 60~100cm plus snow dumps..sorry bit off topic

Ok they should be out before then, checking up on this.. but if not is there another address we can use?

i buy my gear from america with similar situation, got a whole 3500 retail here setup for 1500 mmmm powder, i might have to visit sometime!

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
