I didn't see that email, and I don't really have the inclination to go through them all :) But if that's true, then I have no problem with paying the extra amount.

Clearly stated in an email = Fair warning.

Merli! Now you're going to have to fork out a little extra for the shaft, I think I should do the right thing and offer you $298.70 for those tension rods you have for sale...! Y'know, to help out.

:) LOL

$90 odd i can deal with, but still want the shaft within a week time frame not some sent by boat takes a month etc crap where i have a feeling he is trying to cut the cost down...

:D LOL

I don't have the extra $100 for this shaft, so everyone tell Matt to buy my Cusco tension rods for $340 delivered :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:

Otherwise I'll hold up the final payment for these rods and NO-ONE will get them <insert evil laugh>

Yep iam happy to pay extra as well, is their going to be a difference in price between the guys who paid for the 1000hp model to the guys with the 2000hp model i think their was only piggaz and myself going for the lighter /cheaper shaft

Yeah i'm sure there will be a difference, tho at current its the postage we're working on to screw down in costs.

we're charged around $250, and paul also gets alloy shafts from somewhere else in the Us for 100 or so delivered.. so he's looking at that approach to get costs down for us.

:)

I'm sweet as with the extra coin..just let us know and lets get these babies on the plane. I'm back in Jappa tomorrow so will have access to computer again..Pick up me car from HKS tomorrow and cant wait to see how it goes!!

Just out of curiosity. Is there anyone that will be doing a back to back test to see if there is any noticeable change in anything?

Hey Andrew,

It's been a while.

Please let me know how this debacle is going...

Can I enter the group buy at this point? If so what price?

Thankyou

Mick

Just read from start to finish, i hope after all this drama you guys buy Andrew (Angus) a beer for the effort he's put in

Oh, and i also hope you guys see a large difference in performance :D

Hey Guys, I've been away at the snow while there is snow still there.. gotta make use of the season pass while i can..

i have 2 emails from Paul,

we were getting charged around 300us for postage from Acpt.. which was all included..

Now.

Paul also orders shafts from other Us companies some of which are heavier alloy shafts and he gets them in here for around 130us which will probably see the difference in price there.. and possibly only a small payment to be done.. Paul is working on all this.

hopefully we will have some action this week and get them sent out,,

Now Michael. Wayy too late.. unless someone here wants to sell theirs to you?

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
