Yep, I've just received my GReddy one - now I've gotta organise some time to get it fitted up.
Good new Nick shouldn`t take to long when you get reo off put some 2in tape on side where it bolt`s up mark&measure, then put some on dottom of reo mark line throw ,should need about 35mm on end`s not to much in the middle slot & flod up ,if you fold it up you can keep some of strenght in it not like MOST who just cut it OUT ???post-36964-1206514571_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1206514652_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1206514615_thumb.jpg

Good idea, Chuckie. I was kinda thinking along the same lines - if I fold that part of the reo up it would help to act as a bit of an air guide to direct the air THROUGH the cooler, so it's a win-win situation.

NOT what you think when you fold it ,it goes in side so you don`t see anythink,+ it`s not in the way.if you slot the reo it`s flod`s up alot easyer,i think i cut every 25mm so it`s not to hard .I think i will put some rubber along the back of the REO ,may have a look at putting some flexie pipe in the reo so that the top of intercooler get`s some cool air ????,just little bit`s that i will play with ,iam alos going to cut out the front number plate section & sort that all out so it look`s stockpost-36964-1206517532_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1206517511_thumb.jpgwill put ali throw so it will be strong,post-36964-1206518565_thumb.jpg&put some stainless steel mesh around opening`s ,cheer`s chuckie

It fits no worries, after taking out the aircon fan. even goes behind standard bar though the front bar has to give a little. I just left the horns dangling and bolted them to where the top cooler attachment is after i got it in, I didnt even jack it up. the reo does cover quite a bit of it though.

I ordered the gtt one if that matters, I dont think it does but there you go.

Sorry to bring an old thread back to life; anyone know what it would take for an R33 GTR (or R34 GTR) i/c to fit in a 260RS Stag?
I assume the 260RS intercooler piping is different from the non-RB26 versions?

They are the same cooler

Don't quite understand your question. The non RB26  non 260Rs Stagea has a sidemount. All 260s have an RB26.

Sorry, I re-read my post and it was terribly written.

Let me take another stab:  What would it take to fit an R32/33/34 GTR intercooler onto my WGNC34 260RS?
I wanted to know what the differences in piping, mounting points, and space/fitment are, to assess whether or not it makes sense to buy a GTR IC to modify to fit on my Stag.

It seems ARC has different part numbers for the i/c kits, so I assume there are some differences.   Nismo also only makes kits for the GTRs, not the Stags.

Generally, there are many more options for GTR I/C kits than there are for our 260RSs.

Cheers!

Thanks!
I noticed that the BNR32 and BCNR33 use the same (nismo) part number, but the R34 is different.  Which will fit our WGNC34 Stag 260RSs?  What's the difference between those two part numbers?

The 34 has a sensor provision on it. Air temp I think. The 33 one is the one you want

The only difference is the air temp sensor!?!  Jeeze... that's good.
So the R33 GTR I/C tabs, hoses, pipes, and fitment all line up properly in a WGNC34?
Thanks!!

Just wanted to see if anyone else could confirm/deny this?
If wrong, what are the differences between an R33 GTR FMIC and a WGNC34 260RS FMIC?

Thanks!!!

I can't confirm it but I just googled the pics and they look the same. If there is any difference in the mounting tabs it should be easy to adapt them.

Great, thanks, I guess I'll find out soon!! (And I guess I wont be getting the Nismo version since the risk/price is too high!)

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
