Shame you had to let it go, but you obviously have good justification for selling it. New owner is lucky with you as a previous owner!

Still welcome on our cruises... we need someone to polish our wheels :D

you wish...

how about this, I polish your wheels, you polish our RAV4's wheel and we'll call it even ok ;-)

spotted again on Friday arvo: silver series1 (I think) V35 auto with aftermarket front bar, on Smith St, heading North this time. Last time I spotted him, we were heading south, and managed to have a very brief conversation at the lights. At that time, he wasn't aware of these forums, but I spread the word, so hopefully we'll see him on here soon... :D

Nice..Guess what I lost my license for giving a quick burn at the lights...yep you got it .

lol, yeah... not!

but it's ok, settled on a replacement, the mk6 golf gti

looking forward to taking delivery of it... hopefully end of week

Spotted today around lunchtime at Glen Waverley, Vic a silver V35 coup parked along the road between Kingsway and Springvale.

...also spotted within the previous hr prior parked along Kingsway a white R35 GTR and a yellow Honda NSX... then again they're not V35s so prob not worth mentioning here ... :D

LOL, My bro was kinda in hurry for his new RIDE~beside the car is in a very good condidtion compare to what he has inspected lately plus the English Navi, DVD, reverse cam etc.~and plus a extra quick delivery~ :)

and we are like the only V35 Coupe and Sedan in our block too~

how much u end up letting it go for

Spotted quite a few in Sydney on the weekend, a few Silver's, a Red, and White one with CF boot & bonnet. Don't ask me the names of streets where I spotted them though... the city is one big maze

  • 3 weeks later...

saw a silver V36 coupe this evening as I was waiting at the traffic light, queen and abeckett st in the city...

it looks really like a V35, in flesh both cars look very similar... kind of like 370Z and 350Z

    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
    • There is an ABS pump and a few solenoids. You could trigger the front/rear solenoids with a pressure bleeder attached with a Consult 2.
    • I love saying Samsonas lol. Maybe it's because I secretly want one, but also don't want to sell a kidney.
    • My budget has already blown way out but I've got most of the big-ticket items out of the way haha I just got the box back from the shop, got them to inspect it and install one of those refresh kits with all new syncros and bearings so should feel much nicer. But yeah if there's a weak point it'll be the gearbox, I'm gonna roll with it for now and hope it holds together. Do have an Xtreme organic sprung twinplate clutch to go in so if/when the box lets go I'll be back open for suggestions haha
    • Dose salivating at the prospect of being able to recommend a gearbox upgrade!
