Air Bags In A Series 1

My r33 has done quite a few kilometeres as such the steering is a bit shoddy,anyway i was on ebay and i saw a series 2 steering wheel which has an airbag i was wondering if im able to do a conversion on my car so i can actually use the airbag if i buy the steering wheel.

i know their is a multitude of aftermarket steering wheels but im more after the standard look plus an airbag may be useful in a car crash

so what im asking is

1.do you know if the conversion can be done

2.whats the cost

3.is it worth it

Dont know if its doable or worth it but my mate runs a series 2 wheel on his series 1 no probs. the air bag mechanism simply isnt connected.

its going to be a nightmare to wire up the airbag system to a car that never had it

I agree, it will cost a fortune getting someone to do it, and be a total nightmare. Just find a steering wheel that you like, or run with a SII without the airbag connected. Or just buy a SII?
