  • 3 weeks later...

My car got broken into last night and another evo got stolen in St george near shire..they spent only 31 seconds on evo and spent 9 minutes on my car but couldn't steal mine..f**kers were stupid enough to use one stolen vehicle and one registered vehicle that they used few days ago to get in the carpark (in case you were wondering how i know that they were the same guys its coz of building security that i dnt want to give info out until they are caught in case they read the post)...i got both number plates now that i'll give to the cops..hope these flamin mongrels are caught.f*king smashed the whole ignition system in my car...getting satelite tracking on monday so if these flamin mongrels steal it they get caught..feel bad for the evo guy though who only had it for month and his insurance was due..Yes i have full comprehensive insurance

Car had immobiliser & full comprehensive insurance

Did you find your car? What car was involved in yours? PM me..Wish i had access to RTA number plate so i could find out where this f*ker lives that came in a registered car

sorry to hear about your car dude :)

Atleast it didnt get stolen.. But still pain in the ass to fix all the damages!! pls money out of your pocket for nothing!!

Was it parked on the street when this happened? or in a lock up garage?

just go pay some money to the PI and grab the address details and let me know...we'll go down and take his whole family's cars.

As my previous car (r33) has been stolen from me at mq uni, i give no mercy to these f*kheds.

Sorry to hear this mate.

I know this will sound like a waste of owning a skyline, but my car spends 80% of the time locked in my garage with alarm on.Car is never parked anywhere besides my garage. If it is parked anywhere im in it.

I dont even park it in my driveway, when i get home its straight in the garage.

Yes this might sound extreme to some, but atleast i know it wont get stolen, unless someone prys the keys out of my dead hand. As they say the best cure is prevention,do not give the bastards a chance in the first place.

It makes it that much more enjoyable when i drive it though.

If i did not have a garage to park it in i would never have bought a car like this.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
