Jun Crank Collar

Recommended Posts

One of the most common mechanical failures in RB engines is the smashing of the oil pump driven gear.

This is due to the std size, wear and slop on the std crankshafts, the std snout not being long enough even for the standard pumps!!

std is about 5mm.. drive on a 18mm oil pump gear..

where is these collars drives it on the full 18mm..

this is a serious design fault which was resolved in the r33 and r34 rb26 engines..

but was not resolved in any other models!

all rb30s need one.. all r32 gtrs need one.. and all rb20&25 cranks need one

this enables reilability at 8-9000rpm

without a std oil pump would shatter due to the uneven load on the drive gear.. quite common in high reving r32 gtrs..

if you are rebuilding any RB engine, and fitting a twin cam 20 25 26 pump. this collar is a must..

the only reason pumps fail apart from engine blow ups.. is the drive shattering (collar) or low pressure (backing bolts loosen up and bleed oil)

this also replaces the oil pump seal seat which can become very warn and not seal without a fresh collar.

Requires machining of your crank to fit.

Sell for 200 dollars, and comes with an oil restrictor
