Ok I've only had my new car 2 days and already its cost me so much money and its going to cost me so much more. :)

I thought i'd post a poll to see how much we all spend (or intend on spending). JUst break it down to an average and include car repayments and insurance i guess

I dont think this will look too good!!:bahaha:

we talking about general repairs n fuel as well .... i mean when i first got my car it cost me $1.4K insure .... $1K for stamp duty .... $800 in belts n repairs that had to be done ....... they aint cheap. ZX wasnt much different $700 in stamp duty ...... $220 in rego .... $400 in servicing ....

niz gets out her calculator...

$130 a month insurance

$280 a month in fuel

$120 in upkeep ... servicing .... n rego

$200 in paying various car debt off

So around $700 a month .... give or take :)

oh and thats just one car ..... i currently have two haha

$1000+ Over 100p/w petrol, with insurance, mods (mostly cosmetic), Car wash, polish, wax, interior scent things, the list goes on.

Not forgetting the pit inspection for the regular removal of canaries:) Lifting the car, replacing headlight bulbs and various engine bolt on bits, then replacing it all after the inspection. SOme of it I can do, but most of it I pay for.

Alone in mods with the turbo just going on I'd say around $6000 spent over the course of 18 months. Petrol is around $60/week, insurance is $900/year, rego is $450/year, tyres every 12 months, serviced every 5000km's... it would add up to be a fair bit. *shrug* Its my only hobby and my only toy, I dont smoke at all or drink a great deal (so yes I am boring) ;)

Transit Multirider 40 concession $24.00

Insurance $0 -depends public libility insurance

Fuel $0 - My both legs does the most of work, I guess I spend upto $70 a week for fuel me up.

Maitanance - $200 month, I am easy to maintain.

it can be vary month to month cuz the women factor... :)

so In total approx $300 bux a month ;)

Definitely! Buy a house man!!! :D

Geezus and i thought i had it bad...... All up i plan to budget around $1000 a month but i can see that blowing out.

BTW i dont know heaps about exhaust systems but last night i was offered a full exhaust (2nd hand including the dump pipe) for $800. Its stainless steel and the bloke said it would just bolt in. So is this worth it AND how easy is it to whack on an exhaust??

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
