I have picked up this arvo my new ride R32 GTR in nice all white with unmarked 5 spoke NSgt2 rims.

I bought the car from Carizma in Melbourne and it arrived here as it's being descibed with no nasty suprises......... so far.

i was beside myself when Ceva rang me (car carriers) that it's ready for pick up.

I felt so empty since my black gtst was sold and so uncomplete. I'm all good now and the fun starts here Wooohooo.

I'm baaack.

I just had to share this with you since my wife is not happy for me (she can't see the diff. WTF?? beetwen cars)

Happy Dave :P:P:(

Good luck looks like a sweet ride , I love my R32'S :P

judging by ur avitar it looks like an awesome beast! i remember how i felt when i bought mine 6 months ago, now i just look at her and then check my empty bank account :( still so damn happy tho.... ill never get bored of her and the endless potential!! we also want a list of mods ! :)

as far as the misses goes... take her for a spirited run through the hills then she will be able to tell the difference hehehe

congrats on the purchase buddy, ive only had mine for two weeks now and im in love!

a word of advice, i purchased my last car (the gtst 4 door) from carizma. i found that there were a number of items that were supposed to be rectified on the car for road worthy that were simply left out. just go over your car fully (or even take it to a mechanic) to make sure its all good. i had to take mine back several times before it was road worthy.

other than that im sure these coming weeks will be full of fun for you, as they were for me!

so how much power is she making?

I agree with jenkies, a decent run around some twisties will have the missus saying GTR FTW!!!

... or she will hate you for scaring the crap out of her... one or the other.

You can tell its had a basic respray. I would have cleaned the engine bay of the primer and paint dust before i sold it though :D

But congrats mate all the same. Turn the wick up on that thing.

Thanks namo, I know she's not perfect example and yes it is basic respray but I guess you always get what you pay for.

For the money it's OK and I'll clean it up a bit.

I've already had to replace main switch for lights and fix the side skirts and it apears (making noise when cold) that I will need new starter motor as well just for starters.

Oh and I hate the coil overs (JIC) great for track not for Sydney roads. Also twin plate cluch not very friendly in traffic!

As I said before the fun has begun. *being sarcastic*

Long live the king...

Dave :bunny:

Very Nice Dave!!

Massive fan of White R32 GTR's

Looks awesome!! Will we see it on the track any time soon?

Not quite yet as I need to check everything and service so it doesn't wimp out on me at the outing I would hate that.

However I will need to wait so I can save some money as my budget for my play toy is empty. :D

Dave

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
