congrats to Beau today who made it through to the top 12 in Driftstate at QR today.

He qualified in 17th position out of 24, then won his first battle after a re-run. Then in his second battle, he drove the car out of sight, but the other car simply had more power and Beau couldnt keep up.

However I was very happy with the way he drove and once we get a chance to put a big power motor in the drift car, I am confident that Beau will do really well in future events.

there was about 8 other cars there over 400hp@rw , I lost to a 415rwhp 2.2 tomei 180sx that is about 970kg , mind you he is bloody good too , just finished 5th two weeks ago at DA Adalide

Had the QLD r2 State championship on sunday , first time driving it with it's new setup turbo , it was a shame I had to take off my tower brace to fit it on as the front seemed to wash out a little coming out of a turn , and I have lost my 2nd gear sycros .

So had practice from 10 , got about 3 laps in and found I was lossing power , opened the hood and found out I had melted a cooler pipe as it was too close to the manifold , so had to rush around to the supercheap to buy and then fit a new one , and also make a section of heat shield to make sure it does not happen again .

Then came qualifiying , I had one more practice lap to check the setup which felt good , so I lined up for my first qualifying lap , started out great but I missed 3rd going into the dipper and went into 5th , but managed to recover and get through without to much trouble. My second qualifying went well besides a little bit of dirt turbo .

Ended up qualifying in 17th and had my first battle up against the TOKAGE soarer driven by Josh Botcher , a well proven driver who normaly drives his FC rx7 , but due to brakege was picked to drive for the TOKAGE company.

First lap I was chasing , and I managed to stick very close but at the cost of losing angle a few times , lead lap I hit the dirt once which was being judged very harshly , so it went to a re- run where as the Soarer spun both times due to a bad tyre , so I was through to top 16.

Next battle was against my very good friend Eugene in the Federal/Mercury 180sx , a seasoned DA competitor in a 400rwhp 2.2 tomei 970kg fully built drift rig. First lap I was chasing and lets just say he pulled away with his foot to the floor , and on my lead lap he followed very well , so I was knocked out , but was told by many people that it was a very close battle considering the power difference. I was told later that with my score against Euge that I made 12th place

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
