I've been looking around for a bodykit for my r34 gtt for a month now and there are very few places I could find in sydney that sell decent kits.

Are there any well known places that specialize in skyline bodykits in the sydney area that don't advertise online?

x-racing did the one on my r33 gts-t which is very nice and fits very well www.xracing.com.au wen you call talk to jack he is very good and can do custom jobs if you want it....he supplies to alot of retailers such as gforce, carmate, and jetspeed

I've seen most of those before except the last one and most of the r34 gtt bodykits they have on their web site look a bit crappy ... but I don't mind the front bar and sides on this yellow r34 http://www.jetspeed.com.au/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=181

Bit hard to tell how it looks in real life as theres only one crappy quality photo of it there

thanks guys keep em coming.. I don't think I'd go for a fully custom kit due to costs involved. I don't mind having something that's either common or popular as long as it looks good ie. it's not 'uras' ...urrghh can't believe anyone likes that kit.

what do you guys reckon about this white r34??? I like the front rear AND sides on this mofo .. the front is 'CW', sides 'OT' and rear is also 'OT' style ...

The front bar is the only one that's a bit full on ..the sides and rear are very stylish and subtle IMO. What do yous reckon? Oh yeah imagine it all in black :P

So what's the word on carmate anyway? are their kits good quality or flimsy pieces of crap that will break at the first little speed hump?? They also charge $1k to paint and fit whole kit, is that a good price??

Edit; oh yeah forgot the link http://carmate.com/product_details.php?pro...S&p_id=9948

actually I lied ..that white 34 is completely 'OT' style front bar included ... this is the front bar I'd prefer over the OT one http://carmate.com/product_details.php?pro...B&p_id=9891 not that much different anyway

just did a bit of research here on carmate and decided against dealing with this mob ... I think there was 1 out of like 20 reviews that was remotely positive.

Anyway, does anyone know what this 'OT Style' bodykit is actually a copy of so I can try and find it from a different supplier?

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
