1.13 at Wakefield in a stock 33 with street rubber? You are either an excellent steerer or that was hand timed

Car has been remapped - 196kw.. yes street rubber.. but yea still stock turbo.. no engine mods (apart from pod filter lol)

Was timed by a proper lap timer (infra red or something)

www.ultra-lap.com

check it out :D

Thanks guys, cheers!!

Dave - hahah Ive got more race tape on it now also so its getting more nuggetie lol

Thanks Jon for the adjustment lol

Sid - on my 1st time there in the dry (2nd time, 1st time was pouring rain with 1:20) I did a 1.14, If I remember your friend drove your car to get that 1:13? :D

but yeah, plenty room for improvement and yeah, love it, gone through M2 tunnel 3 times now also hahaha

1:20's or bust? lol - I'll just aim for a 1.12

I might even go straight line and try the drags and see what she'll do!

They will for superlap Vic! They are being saved! lol

Sid - the stockies - yeah they go ok! But now got some r32 GTAAAH rims (thanks to Vic!)

It needs Gary (sydneykid) to get my suspension set up sorted 100% lol

Exhaust is 3 inch front/dump - high flow cat and 3 inch exhaust with only 1 muffler...

I think it could be the gain with the EBC why its dropping off?

nice one mate. I knew you would not be disappointed with the GTRS. HKS gear never fails to impress. That thing should rock with 260rwkw. It will be very quick on the track with that nice fat responsive curve. making nearly 200rwkw at 4000rpm is kick ass.

and dave, mate 12:1 AFR is not lean at all?! dunno where that came from. that is a nice safe AFR.

also, thank god for primordial for the rotating. chubbsy mate, it's just one little button click!

hahah yeah, I sence a failboat photo being posted because I failed at rotating lol hahaha

p.s. I still wanna drive the silvia!

Evil, The bleed off of boost is prob either due to wastegate (which I assume is external, so shouldnt be) or your BOV which is venting early. GTST ones does, if its aftermarket tighten up the spring and ull prob be right..

Gain would be controlling boost spike and it would be causing the car to jump from 12 to 14 .. you know the deal with spikes...

Hope that helps

Hey Nath, Its internal gated. Oh, standard BOV, and is nice and quiet and plumbed back still!

Oh, and your question on the 1st page - Id certainly give Unigroup a call and have a chat with Yavuz about the tune and what you want from your car!

Cheers!

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
