R33 Gtr Rb26 Question

hey there, advice please, r33 gtr rb26, just having engine work done, 2860-5, 770s, nismo pump, power fc etc etc, getting around 380kwaw, question; should i start looking at getting a larger FMIC around this power? has anyone used the twin entry one? my mechanic said they worked pretty well, i want he car to look standard, so dont want to put anything on it that dosent need to be there, just here of everyone using aftermarket FMIC's......

At the power level your at now.. id say it would be wise to get a bigger cooler.

The trust 100mm intercoolers work well and is what i'd reccomend

Considering it is a relatively easy item to replace afterwards if it is an issue, you could try it with the stock item and just monitor the iat's.

How hot does it get in Queenstown? I would expect that the standard IC could more than handle the task. The air going into the turbo is cooler, therefore the air charge temperature doesn't rise as high. The air passing through the IC is cooler, so should draw more heat away from the IC and air charge.

Perfectly said. That, plus you want to try and refrain from a shiny front mount and how easy it is to measure pressure drop; Just leave the IC.

hey there, gets to about high of 30 in summer, plus we are pretty high up here so the air is pretty thin....

being in a valley in summer it can get 30 degrees C in winter more like 10 or 12C max on a fine day, over night lookin at -5 to -8.
