hbahhha not if you got 100000000 hp its good for downforce but yeah as michael says if it doesn't stick out hte sides of the car its not illegal :) i had a twin blade one was inside of the car body but the cops still yellowed me :) so i took it off they said it might cut someones arm off etc tc but yeah if u wanan be picked on by police all the time then yeah put the T wing on :)

hi, does anyone know that is it illegal to install the gt wing on the car?

coz im deciding to bid one on ebay.

cheers

A "GT" wing will attract the WRONG attention......

and will attract a defect notice.....

Wings need alot of speed to create downforce......

Where are you going to do that legally on WA roads? And there really isn't an track in WA that could fully utilize wing downforce.....

Use the money for something more useful for your ride. :D

    • Can we place bets? My money is on there is always the option to use the 1 way profile. So the diff is either 2 way and 1 way, or 1.5 way or 1 way.
    • I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.
    • Just a reminder orange park was cool back in the day   and drifting the main circuit was even cooler   f**k I miss that car
    • We used Knox Drive shafts years ago when we were doing gravel rally, good guy but I heard it had changed hands? He's got a lot of stuff and is miles cheaper than GJ and so on. He used to have a lathe setup with a MIG torch on the tool holder so he could get the uni welds just right, quite a clever guy. I just got a driveshaft done for my sequential installation and that was through Balancing Services Australia in Preston, they did the Gibson cars in the old days. New genuine CV's, billet yoke, new centre bearing and chome moly shaft was $2k.
    • Thanks for sharing that mate, I've got a couple of spares on the shelf but all the unis are tight....will give old mate a shout. BTW are you sure it wasn't just a $400 paint job? Any detail of what they replaced (cut/reweld?)
