ive had my 18's on for a good 6 months before it got done (which probably wouldnt have if something else didnt happen but wont go there) cops have driven next to me, behind me and drove right off... didnt have an issue.

that goes without saying doesn't matter what rims you run

exactly... ive been picked on for random things they could find when i first bought mine. it was a dead stock automatic 33. got done for pod filter, oil leaks and exhaust to be checked.

this is what it looked like:

Yeah but if you drive like a dickhead, then you pretty much deserve to get picked on/defected. That said, sometimes you can randomly get picked no and that does suck.

As I stated above, I have had 3 quite highly modified cars (coilovers, wheels, loud exhaust, mods) and drive my cars daily for work and pleasure, and have NEVER been defected. I don't do anything to make my car stand out too much or be obviously illegal, and I don't drive like a dickhead.

yeh i agree, if you drive like a dick then you deserve it but the amount of people who get done for doing nothing wrong far outweighs the ones that do...

My wheels didnt even get a mention when i got defected. Got pulled over with them on for a licence check and nothing was said either.

the last time 3 times ive been pulled over my tires were only checked once when they were looking for defects, so that says heaps about whether defects are for safety or revenue.......

straight under the hood no look at one of the most important safety aspects being tires..

defects and speed cameras mate are all revenue raising and nothing to do with safety.....how is capturing some one speed at an intersection a safety thing.....it wont stop them speeding down the road.....arrgh people used to be afraid of the tax people and now its the cops taxing everyone via safety (bullshit) / red light camera's

yes they dont have immediate benefits, however catching some speeding can change there mindset an actually save their life as they no longer drive stupid on the street. It can be a wake up call.

If a friend of mine didnt get caught, he probably would have became a statistic.

had my skyline nearly 5 yrs now and i realized i dont have any photo's of it at all. im sure i had some but i think they were on a old hdd that failed .

next time i clay bar it and polish it i will get the camera out pretty slack really lol

    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
