Atmo Bov Question

hey guys i need to get my r33 gtst ready for a drift day this weekend, but im currently running no BOV. and it turns out your car stalls inbetween gears with no BOV which isnt a problem on the street but when you handbreaky into a drift the revs die down and it stalls. my question is, does a atmo bov still make your car stall, do i have to go plumb back? thanx guys

Hey Shane,

Plum back will be the sure way, but in saying that if you have you bov tight enough so that is closes fast you should be fine, i Run a blitz and its been fine never had it stall.

If you have management or and safc or similer you can tune that stalling out.

But for the sake of being sure =PLUMBACK

yeah i dont want to be anymore cop bait then i already am (skyline driver ) but i really need to get my car ready for this weekend and i have a atmo bov laying around. i have a pfc, how do i tune the stalling out??? thanx

im not sure what you have done, but i am running no bov and i have no issue with stalling during gear changes. and i have done a few drift days with my bov blocked and still no issue

if i even boost to 6psi then clutch, the revs die all the way down and stalls. happened to my mates car too. i bought his turbo and front facing plenum so my car is now the same as his was.

Throw the atmo bov on there and test it. if it doesnt work all you have wasted is 40 mins.

best option is the plumb back. no bov and the engine can lean out too far when you back off and can stall, atmo bov and your engine can richen up too much and may stall.

thanx for all the help, im gonna try the atmo for now cuz i have one and cant aford (money and time) to get a plumb back atm. ill let u all know the result. hopfully ill have it done 2moz arvo. and nizmonut, dont coment if its not a helpful one.no one wants to hear useless coments, i already serched but the info i found wasn't what i was asking!!
