<-----ive got this one, the previous owner said he got it from unique auto sports, its got the big centre vent and the 2 smaller vents either side, one ontop of the turbo (which after abit of a hard drive, vents ALOT of hot air out) and another on the other side

suits me fine coz it came with the car hehehe

Sounds like the same CF bonnet i'm looking for, something more on the plain side.

+1 id also be interested in a simple bonnet, with maybe 1 or 2 subtle vents. maybe if anyone knows a custom place we could get a group buy going

I wish we could design a carbon bonnet that suits everyone :D

We can always get a carbon bonnet made that suits your style however there must be a minimum order of around 10.

Sounds like a group buy what do you think boys? I'm keen let's get the numbers!!

im in pending the design.

all i really want is something that will allow through ventilation. so some sort of reverse facing vents mid way up the bonnet. im not to fussed about the final design as long as its not flashy or attention drawing.

We have just received stock of these S2 bonnets. We trial fitted it onto our demo car and it fits very well and makes the front look very aggressive, no to mention providing extra cooling, especially over the top of your ignition system where it is needed most.

I think in all the excitement we forgot to take a picture before we took it off :(

Carbon $749, FRP $499

Comes with all the required mounting hardware too. Bolt threads are fibreglassed in and line up perfectly with the factory bonnet hinge.

Now obviously these aren't ADR approved? (not that i really care)

Would you have to use bonnet pins with it or is the part where the lock mechanism goes pretty tuff?

Also with the carbon fibre one, is it carbon fibre on the inside of it aswell?

Sorry for all the questions but this is probably one of only a handful of bonnets that i have seen that i actually like for the series II.

No these are not ADR approved, I have been trying to speak to someone about what is required for ADR approval but am yet to find anyone that can give me a clear answer or the right person to speak to. Can anyone help me here?

The bonnet catch area is strengthened however, pins are always a good idea. If you do want pins, my preference would be to get AeroCatch.

These do have a FRP skeleton with a Carbon top layer. We can certainly make you one that is made totally from carbon fibre, although expect to pay a LOT more.

I'm more than happy to answer your questions.

PSI do you have any bonnets for series 1 GTR 33

Not at this stage, there just hasn't been enough interest thus far.

Can you please though it back on the demo car for a picture please and about how high do those vents stick up?

And the bonnet pins you refered to are they flush mounted, do they have extra locks the ones I've seen are flush and have locks in each bonnet

pin oh how much for the bonnet pins too?

Just noticed your in melbourne any chance I could pop round and check it out for myself?

Yes the bonnet pins I were talking about are flush fitting and have an optional lock, unfortunately we don't sell them though

Here's a pic:

I'll see what I can do about a picture on our demo car for you. Please PM me about pick-up.

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
