I never heard back from him :D:D:D:D:D

I'd say you're off. I reckon there'd be a tonne of paperwork to run you off the road as opposed to an on-the-spot fine.

I read somewhere that this is part of their 'any car could be a cop' campaign, i saw an unmarked jeep wrangler in the city awhile ago, and read of them using R32's and the like with P-plates to nab you.

many years ago they di the same thing, they used sports bikes, 4wd's, utes and even a couple of mx5's, worked well apparently.

I know they use utes and mazda bravo's along the hume in nsw.

a couple guys at autobarn saying there was a factory R33 GTS4-T? dubious at best...

i'm 99.9% sure there was never a FACTORY turbo 4wd.

get the VIN and run it through FAST, should prove it then

interesting........what stops somone from claiming there R34 is a GT4 modified to turbo standards?

or taking the vin n stuff off a gt4 and putting it on a GTT?

I was as surprised as you guys are about this autobarn guy... but apparently he owned one..

I asked him are you sure it didn't have a conversion and he said no....

but I have never heard or seen of one... so maybe he was crapping on...

even on those spec sites it includes r33 gts4s... but never seen turbo versions....

if you said your gtt has been modified for a gt4 and they didn't believe you, wouldnt you need a engineers certifcate to show its all been done and been done correctly... and they could ask you to go to a weigh station?

interms of checking vins... even on my rego sticker it doesn't say gts4 because justcar didn't have them on their systems....

they sit near rickets/hardnet or what ever its called and ping people speeding, have for years

There is a Un Marked Police Motorbike in the Berwick /Narre area as well.

I have spotted him twice today with people pulled over.

Its a

Black/Grey Honda and he is in Black/Grey leathers with a Black Helmet and he has a napsack on his back..

Watch him....

and ppl who drive off either have merc or BMWs i know i talk to a friend at petrol stations and i sore ppl in a BMW drive off and a merc LOLZ u think they can offerd it all with stolen no plates

i thought that guy was on desk duties for stalking some c*nt^

and yes, cops everywhere last night, saw at least 10 of em on a relatively short trip, copped a canary off one of em too (only minor though)

yeah i find fridays significantly worse than saturdays...thats my opinion anyway...

what did u get done for? were they undercover?

nope drove passed two marked cars that were both looking over an integra, (i was in my banger prelude daily) then as i was going passed one of em came out after me (i've got a rather loud, obnoxius sort of exhaust), without his lights on, i was turning off the highway (princes) onto clayton road, soon as i went round, lights came on.

i got done for not having a muffler (it fell off a couple of weeks ago, i cbf putting it back on). he put a note on it saying i couldnt drive it till it was on, which i've done now, only took like 30 secs. so now just gotta go vicroads and get it cleared and im sweet :)

not too bothered by it, i was expecting an EPA coz i went through a booze bus last week, they didnt pick me up on the exhaust so as i was driving out, once i got passed the last cop, held it flat till like 7000rpm then slammed second just for the f*ck of it, every single one of em turned around and stared but none bothered to do anything? i was surprised coz without the muffler on it does that 'duck-thats-just-ripped-a-massive-line-of-lui-screaming-into-a megaphone' thing.... • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
