If i got a trap speed of 111mph, does that indicate that I should be able to pull a 12???

When i got that speed i had some traction issues and my 60ft time was crapola. I have some nice and wide 19"s on now, and on the road traction feels better.... Going to the strip saturday and I'm eager to see my new times...

If you want to delude yourself into thinking you have 215rwkw on a basically stock motor with an exhaust and some boost, then go ahead. The 2 dyno graphs pasted so far both have been @ RE.. so im suspecting a happy dyno like ash said.

run a high 12 @ 112mph and we'll believe you.

215rwkw with a stock RB25, stock turbo, but front mount and ECU and a bit more boost is completely believeable - I have seen it many times myself. Depends on the dyno though, if its one of those low reading ones that some Oz workshops seem to have then I can imagine 200rwkw being a bit harder to break.

I have heard someone claim >260rwkw on a stock turbo, THAT is a happy dyno.

Im not saying these stockers arent making their claimed dyno figures, but as mentioned id like to see some track results to back up these numbers.

where is sydneykid, id like to hear his input, he has buckets of experience especially with the gcg highflows and knows exactly what they will do. I think his last consensus was that a highflow with poncams is good for a MAX of around 265rwkw.

Yeah there is a thread similar to this on the NZ Nissan Silvia forum - there is a guy who must run on the highest reading dyno in the world. We have higher reading dynos than you guys in Oz on average by the sounds, but thats less to do with ours reading "high" than your Dyno Dynamics reading lower than virtually every other make of dyno.

NZSilvia thread for lols: http://nissansilvia.co.nz/nuke/modules.php...p=339978#339978

well I run 260rwkw with more to pull on a Rb25 neo engine why cant you guys do it? This was with highflow

I dont even have a FPR..

This is quite interesting now.

DO I READ THIS RIGHT......260RWKW WITH A STOCK TURBO HIGHFLOWED AND THE USUAL SUPPORTING MODS???? THATS PRETTY AMAZING ISNT IT? MY TUNER SAID I WOULDN'T GET ANYWHERE NEAR 250 AS ANYMORE TIMING THAN IT HAS AND IT KNOCKED......THIS IS GETTING INTERESTING, WHAT HAVE I STARTED????!!!!!

Fine.. Im getting new Actuator installed tommorow and radiator and ill take it back and get a print out..

Tuner is uni group.. And he said the car is running very safe.. Its going back to be retuned to show people what he can do at the dyno day..

The car has Tomei Cams.. So more flow etc.. gotta remember that.

This isnt a normal GCG highflow its precsion and runs 19psi bleeding off to 16psi .. and produces 262rwkw so if I held boost imagine the power. Hits full boost at 4g which is because of actuator. This turbo in a R33 with Cams ran a 250rwkw ask NYTSKY

I just watched an Auto at unigroup (which tell me it reads acurate as poss and they dont screw figures around, it may even read low they said) Pull 201rwkw.. Abo bob said himself that you lose power through a auto box.. Ill get the bloke to post a chart.

read my sig is this right?

Closer to around 220rwkw give/take.

I was 12.9 @ 110mph regularly and i wouldnt have had anymore than 220rwkw.

2rismo has run i *think* 109mph with similar power back in the day with a better ET cause he can point and shoot better :P

He can confirm that no doubt though

this is not a r34 story, but my brothers r33 series 2, was dynoed at ttwo seperate dynos, and both times his stock turbo pulled a 222.5 and a 225.8kw on 12psi...

supporting mods were

pod filter

power fc

full exhaust

front moutn

new forward facing plenum (( plazma one, (( only the top))

and it was running a basic 29 buck boost Tee for boost control.

could be a happy dyno, for both places. but ohwell

read my sig is this right?

R31Nismoid is on the money, with that MPH you should have closer to 220rwkw. i was flat 13 at 114mph with my dyno sheet reading 218rwkw with the HKS2530. Unless you drove it down the track in an unusual manner you should have a higher MPH for close to 250rwkw.

by the way the 60ft'er for that run was a shocking 2.3!

on a diferent note. SORRY TO DOUBLE POST

but my r34 GTT auto,

has full 3 in exhaust, ( fake cat, etc

pod filter

front mount intercool

boost controller

spitfire coils

( other mods not perfomance no need to list)

basically can anyone recommend a good way to get a tune? i tried few months ago but was quoted 2200, not incliding tune...

someone said to me safc neo, but isnt hat just air fuel control?

I basically have same mods as you except installed an Apexi SAFC NEO ($350ish) and got it tuned ($250ish) - see my sig.

I'm amazed you can get a highflow over 250rwkw... I just don't believe 'you can take it to 280 if need be'... bigger wheels are fine but its still gotta get through that exhaust housing... mine was causing a restriction at anything over 6,000rpm at 190rwkw... I don't believe they can 'highflow' it to run another 80rwkw when the physical size is the main restriction...

Alright.. Ill post the dyno result.. After this radiator goes on.. BTW R34 Radiator for sale great condition.

I must admit I do think that the outlet will limit flow. we'll see

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
    • Here's an idea, answer the questions I asked you as they are trying to work out WHY the LSD will be binding up in a straight line.
    • You haven't driven many modern cars then have you? Most of them have sfa steering feel with their stupid electric bullshit steering systems.
