I post this;

Then you post this. You're blind, and possibly stupid.

Well if that's all it takes for an argument to have substance then i have a question for you too. Do you know how many RB25s i've seen running stock injectors at raised base pressure with no problems?

Do you see my point yet?

No one's saying it wont work... Just that its not a great idea.

don't bother with cams unless you go for a bigger turbo... All you'll do is lose transient response, ie on off boost response and maybe gain 5kw up top where you wont notice it.

How much do you guys think i could get for my EMS Stinger? im really thinking about getting the Power FC or the Haltech

But everyone has them... its like everyone is making their cars the same..

everyone uses the same ECU, same injectors etc etc etc...

seems like theres not many people doing different stuff lol

Just an observation

Because some stuff works better than the other. You can put WRX injectors if you want to. But by the time you find them, find the right o-rings and fit them your mate would have his car ready by then and driving around enjoying it and have trouble free performance. Its not about being different its about budgeting, going fail safe route and making it all work together without problems.

Yep. It's often a case of "works" VS "is interesting" ... they often don't coincide. My car is like thousands of others out there. As for "280 is pretty good tho right?", go ride in a mate's car that has that kinda power (as passenger) and see what it feels like - how he can't put his foot down too much around most streets, how the lag (or lack of) feels, etc. I was all "ohhh ahhh 300rwkw" when I got my line. Now I've got 256rwkw running safe as houses (the way I like it), and knowing what I'd have to do to get 280-290 or more with the same reliability (ie a preemptive rebuild) and with my other goals in life, it's not worth it for me. If I was rich, then sure I'd go stroke a RB26. On that note, I suggest you ride in a GTR (even a stock 32) around some twisty roads before doling out too much on your GTST  Makes you think twice hehe

haha yeah it does make me think twice...

I still wouldn't mind getting more power out of mine.. Just not ridiculous amounts... I think that getting around above 260rwkw is an achievable goal that will probably give me an even bigger smile on my face lol

Supposeably my skyline was running 225rwkw or there abouts with 13psi. Now with some smart Mods maybe i could get to the 260rwkw figure.

What do you guys think?

Btw sl33py.. what mods are you running?

BTW guys I fixed my misfiring problem... Whacked in some brand new spark plugs yesterday and took it for a spin.. It works a treat.. I still might invest in some new coilpacks though.. It seems like they are getting pretty old.

I also flushed my radiator and put brand new coolant in :) YAY

Oil change and filter change will come next weekend.

  • 2 years later...

i think i heard people say spark plugs many times....

i think we all knew it was going to be plugs/packs

p.s you did'nt get someone else to fit them did you?

because honestly i think if your planing for 280kw you need to

learn about ya car abit

Damn this thread is old but I just read it all so I am going say my 2c.

One of the main reasons upping the fuel pressure is dangerous with standard injectors is that the fuel pump is put under more stress. If you have a look at the fuel flow of fuel pumps as the pressure increases the fuel pump flow decreases. If you are going to up the pressure on standard injectors I would keep it a moderate increase and make sure you have a good fuel pump.

far kthis thread is really old - since this I have pulled my RB25, built my own RB30, and running some good power.

I'd be interested to see if this guy actually listened to any of us.

Oh, and everyone - I have a RB30, nismo 555cc injectors, 300rwkw, STOCK FPR.

Car runs awesome.

lol again at this thread.

"My car runs like shit, so I'm gonna put in big cams, a FPR, and some platnium plugs, that'll fix it" ... ahahaha.

    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
    • I started removing the tank a while back with the intent to give it a proper clean. Got to a bolt that I couldn't undo completely due to a diff being in the way, so just said f**k it and siphoned the gluggy old fuel out and called it a day. Looking it the tank it looks less corroded than the one in the pics for that billet hanger from Frenchy's anyway. Isn't it the fuel filters job to worry about this stuff? I scraped off most the crusty shit of the hanger but will give it another go before reinstall coz maybe the fuel and return pipes are also full of gunk
