I'm not sure if it was you RN, but if it was.

I think you should post the picture of one of your wheels taking a bath

So love those wheels. I think I'm going to go sell a kidney to buy a set. Anyone want a kidney?

Had a mess around today and it looks like it is just the RHS low beam bulb which has blown. It does not actually look blown but after connecting it to a battery I am still getting no light.

Will going to a "whiter" light give a bit better vision? How it is now I can't really see all that good on low beam..

Right now they are more blue than anything.

The lights are after market but not sure exactly what. Pic attached.

Hold the Phone! They look pretty awesome, I have to say...

Is that your car? I've only ever seen these in USDM format...

Yeh sounds like you have a short somewhere in the wiring. Replaced the Parking lights, Interior -headlining and door lights, boot and number plates also.

Just need to buy the clear indicator lense now. (had the car 4&1/2 years and just woke up to it now ! lol)

Anyone recommend somewhere in Sydney that sell them ??

I will post some pics when I do these.

Fitted the clear indicator lense only 11bucks from EBAYin th US

35bucksdelivery still cheap. Four interior leds , two no.plate, two parkers, and boot led were less than 100bucks from jaycar &v supercheap.

Pics don't do them justice, def nice upgrade & piece of loss to do. Except parking lights_very tight access and very fiddle.

Looking awesome there Sam!!! Love the black light housings - I am a bit sad I didn't get black now. Hey if you are free next weekend you should bring it up to the Kadina show'n'shine - the SAU:SA club will have 15 cars on display (including 2 x V35s). Or did I ask you about that already? There is a group driving up at 6:30am Sunday if you have footy on Saturday (the show is all day Sunday). Then you could come to the Coopers Alehouse at Wallaroo for dinner and either stay the night (we have bucket-loads of rooms) or drive back Sunday night.

Ah bugger.

Who is doing your exhaust? I have bought another rear muffler to cut the stock tips off of and make up quad tips for myself. My aftermarket D-Max rear bumper bar NEEDS quad tips, as the opening is the prefect size for it and look all gapey with just one stock tip poking out each side.

Looks nice Runner, I was after a black one myself but only found 1 on Carsales that seemed to good to be true, when I rang the guy I got no answer fr two days then a return phone call to tell me it was sold but he had a blue one as well. The same black one ended up on Carsales the next week for $500 more than the previous week.

I am more than happy with my white one though.

Ordered the clear indicators for the front bumper a few days ago, hopefully get them next week sometime.

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
