It wont be that easy

what makes you say that?

as long as you have fuel setup sorted and you have appropriate boost control there shouldnt b too much dramas

ppl say you get 15-20% increase in power from e85

so a 330kw GTR should crack 375kw on e85... theoritically atleast

What makes Paul say that is no doubt that he makes 400kw, and knows that theory can be a long way from reality.

By all means try your theory, go get some ID2000's, a large fuel pump or two 044's, whatever EBC you like, -9's and see how you go at 24psi. Let us know how you go

Generally it seems to only be around 20-30rwkw though in terms of gains. I think 350-360rwkw would be more realistic.

What would be more interesting though... How much earlier would they come on?

Given everyone seems to gain a few hundred RPM response. Getting -9s on even sooner would really be quite something.

Whilst 200-300rpm might not sound like a lot, if its coming up in/out of throttle faster too... It would be awesome!

I suppose it depends on who tunes it.

Im running ID 2000's (2225cc) and at 400rwkw im using a Duty cycle of about 63% IIRC (AFR's are about 11.6:1 Petrol corrected according to my wideband (Roughly .80 Lambda)). If you calculate that back thats just on 1400 CC worth of injector. Thats on a 2.8 with GT RS's at 1.75 bar. Its a little low as my exhuast was choking it like a whore.

That's what you do notice. That half to full throttle instant response. Well I use 'instant' very loosly with GT RS's. It was alot better with E85! pinch.gif

What area are you in? Its at a few places now, so if the skyline isn't your daily driver you'll be fine.

You're talking a 2.6L right? Mine maxed 1000's at 403rwkw but its an rb30 - capacity makes a difference.

Yeah this is an interesting point.

My throttle response hasn't got any better or worse since before and after the E85 swap. I took the time to make sure it was how I wanted it while it was on pump though.

Edit; I dont mean turbo lag.

I see that stated a lot but can't understand why! Can you explain why would engine capacity makes a difference?
