I saw the other day some interesting pulse propulsion pictures of a SR71 black bird with a stream of about 15 pulse explosions hanging out the back. Worked it out to be if the bird was travelling at mach4 approximately then there was roughly about 700 - 800 contained pulses per second. (interesting fact). Anyone know what the max speed of a pulse propulsion jet currently is??? I heard that the black birds often get so hot that some of their outer edges glow red hot from air friction and that some of the fumes in the cockpit can be quite lethal.
